Shoutout to everyone that cried for a solo queue

it killed 2s and 3s just like every sensible person anticipated!!!

I think capping the mmr at 2300 did that

just add dynamic q for 2s/3s boom fixed.

Add uncapping MMR/adding inflation on there and sounds good to me.

Not if you look at season 1. Just saying. MMR cap doesn’t help, but S1 2/3’s participation was at all time low too.

2s/3s are suffering because it’s easier to just q up RSS vs sit in LFG lf games. If they added a dynamic q, 2s/3s would be poppin.

Or if they made 3v3 skirmish the ranked solo que then put them into the 3s bracket as well.

Ughhhhh why in the world would you queue 3s capped at 2900mmr when you could get all ur welfare rewards from shuffle capped at 3600mmr?

Source?

Because shuffle was more accessible and much easier to push while offering most of the same rewards.

wasn’t even close to an “all time low”

it was just confusing for newer players to go from being instantly spoonfed insane rating in SL to not

DFS1 was 100000x more active than legion s3-5 , BFA S2/3, even SLS3

we’ve had this argument/thread several times already. you’re as bad as biebz and dozer.

Q for the people who quit pvp this season, in hindsight how delusional were you all those years you spent doing 2s and 3s just to trash the gamemode entirely cause it was easier to rely on a robot to find partners for you?

More like highlighted how garbage pvp in this game is.

No healers

Horribly balanced

Solo shuffle just opened peoples eyes.

I really like solo shuffle, despite finding 2s to be more fun (Doors and Jim inspired to try it).

  1. RSS is what got me to try PvP and many others to do so. More players is always a good thing.

  2. It’s very non-committal. I work from home, so I can hop into a queue twice a day for my 15min brain breaks, lose some rounds, then get back to work. There’s no one to let down when I’m just hopping on for a brief moment and then afking for hours.

I don’t really think this part is true. Practically every healer I know (including myself) just doesn’t like playing RSS. For years now I’ve kept a few healers geared every season just so I can heal for people when they ask. Every person I know who heals always has several alts as well.

What Doors said.

I think blizzard abandoning everything in the game in favor of M+ is what killed pvp. Not people that asked for solo que. Also people wanted solo que not solo shuffle. But continue blaming your fellow player who doesnt make design decisions and not the people you pay a sub to keep ignoring pvp.

omega deflation and no healer incentives killed this season, not rss

They could still implement a solo queue into the regular arena brackets. Let LFG stay and let people who want to use it/find long term partners do so. If you just want to play 2s or 3s for a couple hours, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to just select from a list of specs that you’re willing to play with and get matchmade into the regular arena bracket with someone around your mmr that fits your criteria. This is really just a streamlined version of what most people are using LFG for, anyway.

LFG doesn’t have to go, RSS doesn’t have to go. Just let people take advantage of the convenience factor that the “solo” queue option provides but also allow them some modicum of control over what comps they play. It wouldn’t be for everyone, and there would be inherently longer/shorter waiting times for people playing non-meta specs, but that’s just life in this game. You would still have the option to play non-meta with friends or using the still-existing LFG tool like you would today.

RSS is cool, it’s a fun way to learn the fundamentals of a new spec without a lot of pressure having to find partners to play with you on something that you’re not good at. It’s also not the end-all-be-all of solo gameplay.

Only issue with RSS is lack of healers.

I’d rather Healers have unique incentives for RSS, then be obligated to 3 man arena.

A dynamic queue just gives major advantages to people who actually make a 3 man premade.

Ofc, I think 3v3 has always appealed to a niche group of players. Blizzard should rotate towards 5v5/7v7 on objective-based maps. BGs remain the most popular form of PvP.
