i don’t remember their name, but they contacted me in game and helped me with a problem i was having and it was a complex situation, but they were kind, courteous and professional and super understanding and helpful.

Customer service can be very good. To the dismay of many here.
This would be considered feedback, yes? General Discussion would be the right place, not Customer Support.
What if the OP is the GM
This was once a regular occurance. In the pre-Cata days Blizzard’s customer service was second to none. You had motivated CS staff who clearly loved their jobs and were eager to help. There’s still good ones today, just far too few of them.
No but if he had put it in the CS section he would have actually got the rep that helped him recognition which is what the OP wanted.
As a side note a CS agent could look at the ticket from today and see who helped him and help get them recognition.
So yes to give a shout out to someone that works for blizz that would be much better place to do it. Like I said CS section is where this thread belonged
Posting in GD it’s a way to communicate players not Blizz. Not only just telling fellow players not get the agent recognition it just simply accomplishes nothing
