I got (I bought with titan rediduun) a 450 ilvl shoulder piece, so I tried it even if I lost 1 dance of death azerite trait. So I Sim myself with raidbot and with my 420 shoulder (with the dance of death azerite trait) I got the same dps that I have If I use the 450 shoulder.
So is the third dance of death is so important that could cover the 30 different level between shoulders?
I hope I explain myself. Be nice, English is not my main language.
Ilvl on Azerite gear means nothing, it about the traits you get. That is why a Bethic piece can sim higher than Mythic gear, it just a game of RNG if you actually get anything to drop that is worth it.
Not entirely accurate. The agility difference is significant. This is why it always needs to be simulated.
For example, if OP had less crit, DoD would be less valuable so the 450 shoulders would sim higher.
The shoulders you’re wearing have extremely good traits. Can you post the name of the 450 shoulders?
420 dance of death is generally equal or better than 450 non-dance of death.
If you seriously boost your ilvl then you may use 450. If you are not, then 420 is little bit better
I had thought there was no stats on Azerite gear and it just gave Traits. I been focused more on maxing my traits that I just equip to see what I get, and scrapping them if they are sub-par.
Azerite gear just doesn’t have secondary stats baseline. It still has the primary stat, stamina, and armor. The question then becomes whether the trait difference makes up for the loss of agility.
The 450 ilvl shoulder are Gaping Maw Shoulder guard and I chose {primal instinct, haze of rage, blood siphon, shellshock.
I have even the same problem with boots. Now I have the one you can see on my profile. I got and maxed the socketed (+50 crit) benthic with increased dmg with crit hit but with haste and vers and pawn saying that benthic are a dps loss. On icy veins the benthic are bis so which I ha to wear?
