So whats the big deal or even harm in making some of these shoulder enchants like Boon of the Zookeeper or Boon of the Scavenger go on shoulders above iLvl 60. I collect pets and it would be sweet to be able to throw these on when im out farming pets or even doin my dailys.

You can apply them to items below ilvl 60 but guess what? Even with it equipped the boon doesn’t drop. Thanks a lot Blizz

I was going to make a new post about how the shoulder enchants aren’t working even on appropriate level gear but this already existed.

Gotcha. Smart. I think there’s enough enchants for other items though. Not sure what you mean by shoulder ones not working?
You have the shoulder enchants on an ilvl 59 item which means when you kill stuff on the broken isles you should get 1 boon drop every hour or so. But they aren’t dropping at all. I farm blood of sargeras to make mecha-bond imprint matrices and the bloodhunter boon won’t work.
Geez!! Really?! Not good… sry. Why don’t those things get fixed?
Or have upgraded variants for the latest expansions. I loved those Boon shoulder enchants, especially the Nether one from curious coins. But once again a good idea gets shelved after a single expansion, like so many other good ideas…

It’s worse than getting shelved, they were brought back as soulbind traits
You’re right, I forgot about those. Then yes, it’s worse because they’ll take all the wrong lessons from soulbinds like they oh so often do. The voon enchants worked because they were rewards from reputations and you can choose which one you want. The soulbind drops don’t because there’s a very high chance that the one you want isn’t on the soulbind or even covenant you want to pick.
Also it makes Night Fae the winner yet again because they’re the ones that gets the herb bags that are worth so much more than other mats… barring maybe the enchanting bag.
