Should Wildhammer Dwarves be playable?

We already have some customizations for dwarves to make them look like a Wildhammer, but I think the best dwarf faction needs some love. Dark Irons have their own Allied Race, I think Wildhammer should be one (and get a sweet heritage armor out of it).

There’s no reason not to do this.

Wildhammer should be the Allied race Alliance are getting with TWW, and the Horde should be getting Ogres…

Rehashing the Three Hammers conflicts over again and giving us that race instead of the last one of the three we’ve been asking for is kinda terrible.

I don’t mind folk who wanted Earthen. But why the heck is the most important of the three dwarven clans in WoW’s history being relegated to customizations?

And don’t get me started on the Frostborn who also should have come before a random rehash of the Dwarves…

Bah. I’m angy about this… unreasonably so.

This is a joke?

No.

Wildhammer dwarves need to be an allied race.

Yes they should have been made an Allied Race since their just as unique as Dark Irons. And if they wanted them to be at least a little different from the Bronzebeards and Dark Irons, they could have made them the only dwarves that couldn’t be warlocks or paladins by giving some thin lore excuse. (Before of course they announced every race would be able to play every class.)

And they would have already had one of the best racial abilities. Their famous stormhammers that players could chuck at their enemies like they were Thor.

While fair enough that everyone should have an opinion, I just don’t see it making the community happy. Should just be a customization but with more exposure on wildhammer characters. :robot::thought_balloon:

Yes, they should, and their main on use racial ability should literally just be Storm bolt.

Thats a warrior ability.

But you already have them?

No we DO NOT, we just have customizations.

We need the actual RACE.

Dark Irons shouldn’t even exist. We had those customizations, as well. Wildhammers have all the customization they need.

And what is the physical difference between the Wildhammers and normal dwarves besides tattoos?

Nothing. They’re just a separate clan.

They have more abilities that root themselves in shamanic teachings, unlike normal dwarves.

Plus, they’d get a cool gryphon mount or something.

They’re already barber options for Ironforge dwarves, so I have no faith that Blizzard would take the option away from existing dwarf characters just to make a whole “new” race out of them. They also announced Titanforged proto-dwarves not too long ago and people are still complaining about getting them over sethrak, the new humanoid nerubians, or really anything else, so I highly doubt the community at large is hurting for more dwarf content.

So, nothing? Good talk.

Doesn’t really matter since that’s not at all important.

Buut they’re taller, leaner and supposedly tanner.

They also should have their Gryphon affinity since they’re the only reason the Alliance has any at all, and they need their Stormhammers that every single one regardless of class has.

They’re also the only reason the Alliance survived the 2nd War with dragons in the air and joined the Alliance long before the dwarves of Ironforge joined.

They should long ago have been an Allied Race.

I should probably clarify before this gets too big:

Take all of these arguments and replace “Wildhammer” with “High Elf.”

That’s how silly the helf argument sounds. I was just goofing.

This is a clan thing, not a physical difference thing.

Wildhammers are just another clan. That’s why they’re called clans. They are not biologically different.

We have tons of those already. Including a lightning one now.

For a separate race it is.

Source? Because I’m finding nothing in the lore that states this.

So not at all is what I’m getting?

Wildhammer never should have been customizations. They should be their own AR.
