Im assuming using them before maxing out the delvs is bad.

If you want to get the best gear, save them for when the rest unlocks.
If you’re not worried about getting the highest gear available, then use’m if you want.
I used one by accident while I was getting Brann to cap. But I got a mushroom hat cosmetic so I feel it was worthwhile. I’ll save the rest til S1 lol.
Naturally, I put the helm on a gnome, because they’re supposed to look ridiculous.

Why save them? Don’t you get rep for factions using them. Also I think you are cap are you not how many you can use a week? Correct me if I am wrong.
Either way I use them for the rep.
I have 7 of them banked, will be 11 after this week.
My renowns are 11 across the board, plus whatever we get this week.
People are saving them to get gear out of Tier 8s when they open in Season 1.

Yes, because Delves are currently locked to level 3 and consequently the loot from Bountiful Coffers is locked to the same.
Once you’re able to do higher tiers of Delves you can get higher tiers of rewards, but I dunno if you’ll be able to run the same Bountiful Delves on repeat or if they lockout after they’re cleared.
You can get a nice chunk of rep from them, though, and iirc the Bountiful Delve drops max out at Champion track so you’re not losing a whole lot if you’ve already used a few keys considering M+ is still spammable and can drop better rewards from both the runs themselves as well as the Vault because Delve vaults max at Hero track.
I’ve got 18 months to get rep with these people. Not gonna worry about it.

Unless one is looking to get quick access to the renown 7/8 armor pieces.
Is there a limit to the number of bountiful delves available each week? If there are only 4 per week then saving them won’t have any benefit.
i used one just to get the delve mount. saving the others
It’s 4 coffer keys per week (technically you can have more if you get enough coffer shards), the number of delves that are marked bountiful shouldn’t have a limit.
Saving currency never works out. Bliz wants people to spend it as they get it. There are countless examples of where they obsolete currency or change it so hoarding doesn’t benefit you.
The urge to min/max or to try and game the system is very strong in some.
Finally, the main purpose of the chests isn’t gear, there are lots of other places to get gear.
It is if you intend to play primarily solo and avoid M+
This. I’m sure we’ll get more. I used them to get into heroics easily.
To each their own bub. Bliz works hard to ensure currency hoarding isn’t a viable strategy.
