Should the Balance of Power appearances be made account-wide?

So now that Legion has passed, should the Balance of Power artifact appearance be made an account-wide reward?

Honestly, I don’t mind grinding for the appearances, but I am curious if others feel making them account-wide would seem imprudent to those who busted out the entire quest chain while it was still current, or if making it account-wide is irrelevant since the expansion is over now.

I’ve only done it on this character and I honestly would prefer it be account wide.

Especially considering that other appearances are made account-wide as well, such as the color variant for the archaeology achievement, or the PvP set.

Imagine if you had to do this for every character.

Please, God, yes

I don’t really see a reason not to. You’ve had to do it at least once after all.

I guess, I don’t mind at all to be honest… But I’m a type of player that likes to promote playing the game and having things you can do or gain as you play even if it has past… so I’m not very like by players who like the limited time gated stuff. (I understand where they come from too, I just don’t feel that way)

The other option would be time walking but I don’t think it could work since each expansion classes and mechanics change so much… it be impressive if Blizz made it work. It be good for does who miss it to gain a crack at it… but its very unlikely.

Your suggestion is good (IMO) as you still get kinda rewarded to have take the time to get some or all your appearances for some of the classes, like so many other stuff that some older players have from content that is no longer in-game.
However its in the past like you said, it be a shame if all that cool looking, time invested in participating and designed artifacts looks be completely lost to time forever.

Summary

To sum it up yes I would be OK with Balance of Power Appearances be Made Account-Wide.

I commend you for your bravery and posting this as MANY players would try to burn down your post as they feel very strongly against it.:+1:

Yes it should.

Will it?

Nope.

Um, no. I like having things to work on like that when I run out of current content.

I’m still shaking my head that you have to repeat it on each character of the same class, as though devs think we’re so stupid that we forget how to play every time we log in to a different character of the same spec, and have to prove we deserve the privilege of playing the game.

So no. I so despise endlessly repeating massive content grinds because devs think we don’t deserve what we’ve earned that I never did it once and never will, unless they let go of that restriction.

I’d be happy just to be able to get the essences and Nightshards much more quickly, or have them drop on multiple difficulties. I’ve done 18 Nighthold bosses on my Mage and have 5 Nightshards.

Then don’t do it. I don’t think people who like that should be deprived of that type of content because some people don’t like doing it yet still want the reward.

I said I’m not doing it. Did you miss that? I just don’t understand how it should make any difference to your enjoyment of the game if all my guardians had access to a skin that one had earned.

Please explain to me how you would enjoy repeating Balance of Power multiple times on the same spec in order to use that appearance.

Well technically they already are account-wide (for other characters you make of that class - e.g. I unlocked those appearances on my Alliance monk, now my Horde monk can use them too.) But I assume you’re talking about unlocking BoP appearances for all your other classes without needing them to complete the chain too, so I’ll address that.

The punchline is that I wouldn’t mind if they did this. Having said that, they’ve also made the grind easier for alts too, and BoP on an alt of another class dovetails nicely with earning the class mount for that class. For me personally, the main thing they could do to further help out with this would be adding Legion table missions to the WoW app so that my alt(s) could get rep passively too.

I’ve been wanting it to be account-wide since I finished it in Legion with my Vengeance DH (whose BoP appearance is absolute sh**).

I’d say so.

If you did it on one character, it’s the same thing for the rest. It’s not as nuanced as the mage tower.

You don’t have to do it on each druid, they share those.

You just have to do it on your mage, your warlock, your dk, etc., i.e. doing it on your druid doesn’t get all those others.

Druid one is the one that did the BoP line - druid 2 didn’t - both have appearance and all recolors.

Yep, I agree with this. If it was a different questline per class, or varying difficulty, like you used with the MT example, I would be against it. But, its doing the same thing, with no variance at all in the way it is obtained.
