So just thought I would do a bit of math and see how much money people make from carries. I will probs get banned on the forums but who cares…literally all of my mates have stopped playing WoW. This is to put it into perspective.
I messaged a guy who was selling carries from 1800CR to 2100CR.
It cost 3.2million gold.
3.2million gold if you were to buy 3.2million gold it would be $400 AUD.
Assuming these carries require 3 people (2 players carrying and a 3rd being carried)
We need to divide everything in half for each player carrying.
So with that in mind.
$400 AUD to buy a carry from 1800-2100
If these carriers did 2x carries a day (assuming a 300 rating carry takes a conservative 4 hours) That’s 14 carries a week
14x400 = $5600 AUD a week
Divide by 2
$2800 AUD a week
2800x52 = 145,600
These people selling carries, if they manage to sell 14 carries a week and charge real money instead of gold.
Each carrier can earn $145,600 a year. However, this is only if the carry is done in 3s.
Unbelievable stuff. I’ll probably get banned for mentioning something to do with gold buying but it’s pretty easy to do a google search and find out what the rates are.
I just did a quick google search and it costs $119 GBP ($213 AUD) to buy a carry to 2100 rating.
Let’s do the math again assuming 2x carries are done a day.
$213 AUD x 2 = $426
$426 x 7 = $2982
$2982 x 52 = $155,064
Divided by 2
$77, 532 per person if the carry is done on the 3s ladder
With how profitable it could be and no fix in sight for the arena ladder(their increase to cr wins for 3340 players didn’t work, those guys remain on their alts not playing their mains months now) Should they just allow RMT?
I’d probably unsub if it happens but I’m sure a different type of crowd to make money would start playing.
