The quests are not chores, they are content. If you don’t like doing them, then don’t.
Personally, I have enjoyed doing various dailies and appreciate the content being in the game.

Reputations are fine So long as there is enough daily quests to get it done in a month or two so we get get onto focusing on other grinds or activity’s in the game or a way to farm it indefinitely till it’s done like mob farming. You know MMO’s are suppose to be massive time sinks right?. Removing all the chores will defeat that purpose.
Now whats not ok is when they set a reward from completing the rep also being locked behind a time gate… looking at Korthia btw.

Yes rep should remain relevant.
Rep is simply another currency that shows play in the game. It’s nice if there are different avenues for rep, but not all are the same (which is also a good thing).
I prefer rep that does Interesting Things as you level up (interesting as in besides opening up vendor items). Such as more daily quests, or unlocking other content.
I don’t care for outright grind rep (X rep per mob, for some low amount of rep). But, others like that especially when there’s no cap and they can grind it out in a couple days with a couple 6 packs of soda and a bedpan. To each their own.
If they don’t do it in a fun way then no. This old formula doesn’t FOR ME work. I REPEAT, FOR ME, I KNOW OTHER PEOPLES OPINION ON THIS DIFFER.
Part of an MMO is the chores. Gives us content to do in the longer term.
I think reps are good. It’s a form of world progression and gives us a reason to stick around these zones. Trick is to make them reasonable and not mega ultra grindy.

Yes.
Some of it seems kinda silly when you get most of it as a result of just playing through the storyline anyway though.
I liked working through rep to get things that were miscellaneous and necessary for min/maxing.
Yeah you clearly don’t know the difference between chores and content if you think they are the same thing.
So you expect handouts? Mythic quality gear mailed to you by every Tuesday?

You all think timegated rewards, just for the sake of being timegated, is actually good content. I think that’s at least disputable.
I like reps but this paragon thing is abusive. I miss the times when you got exalted and just bought the items and mounts from the vendor.

… and then there is just me who just happen to get paragons without giving two flips in the world.
Reputation is a bit silly for each character though and I feel it’s a bit outdated. It’s content, sure. But I think it’s outdated as you only need one character to reach to that reputation and the rest should unlock all benefits.
Much like Ve’nari and the Archivist’s Codex when it comes to Conduit Upgrades and Sockets. Having wait to tier 6 to fully benefit Korthia Gear is nonsensical.

no they went way overboard with it, in wolk the only reason you wanted to gain a certain rep was to get a enchant on you shoulder or hands …that was it…it took a week to get…and they wennt way overboard with the legendaries too… it was just simply a block of quest you had to do… to get one special piece…to do one special quest because it had one special feature needed… to complete the last quest…that was it …
Same could be said of running mythic+ ten times a week or hitting the raid every week. Just more chores.
All depends on your perspective and what you want out of the game.

Reps are fine.
Reps designed like The Avowed to be as painful as possible to get to Exalted, however, are not fine.

I think reps in general are good. I do think they should offer more avenues to getting exalted though, like we used to have with tabards.
if you want to take your time and get a rep done over a few months by doing dailies, that’s great. If you don’t enjoy dailies and just want to run some dungeons, that should also be allowed.
I’m all for account bound rep, but I can live without it.

Every mmo has chores. I’d say every game has chores actually.
Every day in stardew valley I have to water my plants turn my milk into cheese and so on. Literally a game of chores
Yes and no… On one hand it is grindy as heck and kind of annoying. On the other hand, it makes sense to have to earn someone’s trust and respect. Especially in a barbaric primitive world. Gotta earn those reputation mounts xD
