If you’re going that route, just go all the way.
Stat templates, with all unique effects on gear disabled.

This is the other thing.
M+ would not be as successful as it is if it worked by lowering player stats when you went up a key level instead of increasing mob HP/damage, even though the 2 are mathematically identical.
M0 is already a huge step up from heroic dungeons now, and if you have done heroic dungeons, you will see that making it M+6 (old M+16) is going to be way, way too hard for the heroic dungeon audience. I did a heroic mechagon workshop for the bag and three separate people left because they couldn’t figure out the maze part before boss 3.
My title list over 20 years has gotten slightly redonkulas and ridiculous
Those people are insane.
Fashion is the penultimate endgame, it transcends the bounds of any singular expansion’s worth of content, because it encompasses them all and everything they offer from beginning to end.
The ultimate endgame beyond fashion would be roleplay, because in addition to transcending the boundaries of any and all expansions it transcends the narrative and setting itself, as well as the rigid class and combat system, serving as a truly endless font of content, or at least as endless as you permit it to be.
There’s a brand new dance but I don’t even know the name ~~~ David Bowie
Even David Bowie hates mythic runs.
So we go back to raid logging. No thanks.
to be honest a case COULD be made for it.
because at the higher end what people play it for is IO score, damage meters and just the challenge.
This sounds like it would be worse for everyone. Harder for beginners to get started, and fewer incentives for advanced players on high end.
Nope, I don’t see anyone liking this.
I would be all for allowing 1 maybe 2 dungeons a week to give you a chance at mythic level gear, but I don’t know where you would put that difficulty. Just going off what my friends who mythic raid say, it would likely be in the 12+ category.
But I do think this would just lead to people getting mad and quitting because they didn’t get anything, rather then being happy they got an extra piece of myth level loot.
I think most of us still like to feel like we earn upgrades by completing incrementally harder content. It’s not a straight line difficulty-reward alignment, but there is currently strong correlation. And that’s how it should be. We don’t need to turn all gear into participation trophies.
Nah, you haven’t done mythic if you think this is the mind set.
This is so dumb. No.
You’re suggesting they should progress mythic raid bosses when they can spam +10s for full mythic gear? And get it all week 1?
this entire thread is chock full of horrible ideas
I will try to be polite here. When I say mythic raider im not talking about people 3 bosses in after the massive ilv buff/content nerf.
Gear isn’t really a thing for mythic raiders because barring bis from vault you are set on gear by week 3 and extending lockouts.
Most mythic raiders don’t really get much gear after finishing tier sets from the raid proper.
This is a round-a-bout way to ask for mythic raid loot drops. lol.
No.
You’re better off asking for all gear to be removed from WOW.
Me and friends in KSHs and KSL, yea 100% of us are mogged to look super cool. I care about the appearance sets and how it looks. One of my friends he looks at store and Trading Post all the time just to look for every new cool looking gears that he can find to mog on and look cool. Then finishes full KSL clear with getting close to 3.6k score there. And his main toon mogged with the mix of coolest looking Mythic gears plus a mix of the silly stuff from TP. I mog collect on pally, warrior, shammy. DK I almost always only mog it to DK starting zone gear or to a random PvP set that I collected years ago so am pretty done collecting mogs on that toon.
You seem to be laboring under impression I consider myself a mythic raider? I am not. Nor do I try to be, other than pugging a couple of easy bosses on a whim. Doesn’t mean I don’t know any or talk to any or follow any… And just on the surface of it, you ideas fall flat. You want to offer same rewards from dungeons you can spam as from mythic raid which is weekly lockout. That is silly. Allowing M+ to get you mythic gear in vault is one thing, making it spammable is another. Blizz is well aware of the difference and the distinction in gear drops is fully intentional.
I think there is a difference between running mythic and being told what running mythic is like.
