Should mythic plus not drop gear?

Rather have dungeon difficulty rebalanced.

Have normal be roughly a +3 in difficulty and drop normal raid loot.

Have heroic be roughly a +7 in difficulty and drop heroic raid loot.

Have mythic be roughly a +10 in difficulty and drop mythic raid loot.

Then convert mythic plus in a challenge mode style rewards system with seasonal cosmetics?

do most M+ players even care about cosmetics?
I was under the impression that most dont for some reason

I’d like something like you’ve described, with full lockouts and everything for gearing. Second best thing to 10 man mythic raid.

My only criticism is that queue-able dungeons being that much harder would cause a lot of friction.

Many of my m+ friends work on collecting mogs, mounts, and such. Many of us do care about cosmetics.

I guess I need to pay more attention to some in here, and less to others lol.
The comments by some make it seem like transmogs and cosmetics are for the ‘kiddie’ side of this game and the “REAL” players are in M+ and dont really care about that aspect of WoW…we’re just “playing dress up” and such sorts of remarks.

Everyone knows you get a 10% dmg increase when you’re mog is solid.

Many of my guildies are also excited about player housing and they don’t rp and just content like keys, raid, and PvP. The forums just have the vocal people on them, and I guess some people don’t care to dress up their characters with cool looking armor.

It takes all kinds. The wow forums are just like 40 people and their sock puppets.

I can’t speak for most. There is a sizable enough community that pushed to ksl that it became the new requirement for dps pugging 10s over 2600.

Edit ( prior to the dinear announcement too so it wasn’t for power)

I would remove queues or have a drop in drop out style follower system for peope who just want to do the story.

no thanks. i like m+ as is and dont give a damn about mogs.

i think the collectors/rpers overestimate the power of mogs/cosmetics. a lot of people don’t care about that stuff one bit.

I think M+ loot is fine, only thing I would add is some form of deterministic gear system

Raid on the other hand is a disaster imo, which makes M+ look more appealing in comparison

As for cosmetics I’m always for more cosmetics for endgame content, right now it pales in comparison to the “giveaway” style rewards

Thats pretty radical. I’m not sure how many people play the queued content, but it has to be kind of lot of disruption there.

Didnt they already do this?
Isnt that why M0 are old +10s?

Take the gear away and you do it what once?

The bigger issue is RNG reward systems.
How many weeks in and I cant get a mythic shoulder to or ring.

Second half of the season should just be gear boost to nerf content.
The world first and .1% pushers will just get that much higher.
It should just be a way for the lower 80% of players to try and out gear content.

So you just want to make it so you can fully gear mythic in one week? I’m all for free gear, let’s do this.

It already doesn’t drop gear except for 2 people at the end?

It would have a weekly lockout under that system. Gearing would be less effort, but would likely take longer.

I think with the people that struggle in content lower than that would suffer in this.

There was a community that thrived in the previous 0-10s which this would even further cut into.

Would just have each boss drop a piece of loot.

I’ve only gotten gear from M+ about 3x this season, the rest has been gold
