Every time I choose top gear and find my best azerite traits, it always gives me ones that wouldn’t make sense…Like it always gives me one Infinite Fury even though its a bad trait. So, should I follow what Raidbots says or follow the traits that pro furys are taking? Thanks!
Infinite Fury is good on a Patchwork fight so the sim reflects that.
Top tier fury probably sim themselves and go with that. Everyone gets data from somewhere to make an informed decision. If your damage is off, remember typically it’s a patchwerk with 100% up time. Rarely does this happen and along with encounter variability, player error is a likely culprit before i would split hairs with raidbot sims. Wowanalyzer is a good tool for identifying potential improvement. Infinite fury will go up greatly in value the more TfB traits you have btw, same for tier 2 flames trait.
I wouldn’t call IF a bad trait, but it’s also not stellar. Uptime is a big factor in using it, but it also synergizes decently with unbridled ferocity.
Your primary goals should be targeting azerite pieces with overwhelming power while nabbing one unbridled ferocity and one simmering rage and whatever happens with the other traits is a lot less interesting, you’re not going to get perfect traits.
There’s a good helm and shoulder from dungeons (the ones I have) and then two chests from BOD. There’s an ok azerite chest (ashvane) as well, but BOD has better
IF is like TC. How good it is depends on uptime. A fight where you can stick to the boss, you can keep close to 100%, it’s going to be as good as it sims. A fight like Mekka, you’re going to have maybe 30-40% uptime, and it’s 30-40% as good as it sims. You have to make the informed decision.
Trust your top gear, and use your noggin. Look at your logs. figure out your uptime.
