I have about 18k stored anima, should I spend them all before I switch to another covenant?
Google around a bit.
When I switched covenants I followed this advice.
Buy refundable items for anima from your current covenant (like armor than you can refund in full from the vendor). Hold those items in your bags.
Change covenants
Go through the initial quests to unlock the covenant hall and make sure vendors are unlocked.
Visit vendor in your new covenant.
Sell back the gear you bought from your original covenant for a full refund of the anima.
You will now be in your new covenant but with your full amount of anima (or at least what you could sell and refund).
Damn I didn’t know you could do that, so I could spend them all on the transmog stuff and sell them after I make the switch?
Correct. That’s what I did but it was a few months ago. Bought like chest/head/gloves whatever stuff I could buy with anima from the vendor. You can test selling it back by clicking to sell it and you’ll see the prompt (“sell back to vendor for full refund”) type of message.
So when you’re in your new covenant you can sell it all back to the new covenant vendor for a refund of anima. I thought there was a wowhead guide on it but couldn’t find. You can google around about for “switch covenant save anima” and see what’s out there.
There’s a time limit on that though, isn’t there? Don’t swap and log off for a day or whatever, once you exceed the refund time you only get gold back for any items.
