Should I play DK or Warrior

Part of me wants to because lore and well they’re just fun for DK but also Warrior because also fun and oof. What should I do?

Dk > warrior
Warrior if you wanna charge into battle thinking your awesome but then you die 3 seconds later.
DK if you actually wanna be a god of war.

That depends on how good the person you are fighting is. I have killed many DK’s in BGs.

I have a lot of fun with my Fury Warrior, very “fan the hammer” play style.

DK I tried but was too slow for me after playing Warrior, that and having two resources to keep an eye on was annoying.

I heavily recommend playing a warrior.

Excellent mobility.

Immersive and less depressing class fantasy.

and as a Tank, Deal out unspeakable damage.

For a long term outlook…

If tank, DK.
If DPS, Warrior.

DK tanks are consistently better than warrior tanks over the course of expansions. Warrior DPS are consistently better than DK dps over the course of expansions. Both have high and low moments, but this is what it averages out to be most of the time.

If you don’t like moving slow, and don’t like slow gameplay in general, avoid DK until the end of an expansion when the high haste levels needed to bandaid over faulty class design actually make it enjoyable, and reliable to play without praying for procs or snoring while runes take forever to come back.

Fury warrior /thread

I always preferred warrior, even since wrath. You always feel like a warlord as arms, and a piece of metal as prot; fury eventually turns you into a walking chainsaw.

DK is very fun as well! Definitely more tools to play with. Frost is very spammy, Unholy is like a melee warlock with explosives attached to its diseases. Blood is… kinda boring, but very effective!

Very slow class in abilities and movement, but once they get to their target, lots of colors start flying around!

Try out both! Luckily with both these classes, you don’t have to be max level to get a quick feel for how they play/what you’re in for.

If you want to tank but want an easy mode tanking class play DK. If you want a challenge as a tank then play a Warrior.

I would say DK, they seem more enjoyable in my opinion

warrior kinda just seems like the most boring class from a flavor perspective.

You could be a dark knight commanding the dead!
A Powerful mage freezeing and burning your foes!
A devout paladin upholding justice!
A druid that’s one with nature
A shaman that’s also one with nature!
A hunter that… hunts nature?

but you chose to play an angry guy that hits things real good.

Not one melee class compares to a Warrior when it comes to being an expert with a weapon. A warrior only needs his/her weapon and brute force to overpower their enemies while other classes rely on fancy spells and keeping a distance.

The choice is obvious.

Warriors have mobility.

DKs do not

Warrior > DK

That angry guy usually smash all that get close to him.

All tanks are good and playable but if he wants to tank for Mythic+ dungeons he has no choice but to play either DK or Paladin pretty much. This week mythic+ we have Sanguine Affix. After a mob dies, it makes a circle of blood on the spot and it does so much AOE damage to the players and AOE heals so much for mobs.
Melee mobs are easy to kite but it’s the casters. They will just stand there and remain in full HP. The only way to move them is either death grip for DK, or any silence inducing skills like avenger’s shield for pally tank or by any class that has interrupt skill.

Sadly warrior, monk, bear, DH they don’t have those…it’s not that they are bad, I am sure they are decent. It’s just that they don’t have the ability to kite the casting mobs.

That’s if your intentions are to be competitive in M+. Which unless your goal is to compete in MDI which is unlikely in this case then you’re not limited to BDK or Protadin.

It depends on what you want to do m+?..dk if you want pvp warrior.fury is fun but if you do serious arena you will be arms.

If you just want to bg warrior.

Warrior lore wise is actually pretty neat despite what some people say!

You’re basically a blades master, devote in only pure combat. Always reminds me of solaire from the dark souls series.

Incredible prowess must have
come from rigorous training alone, for
his equipment exhibits no special traits

I’m just going to chime in here and say “Follow your heart!”
Really, you can’t go wrong with any of the classes in this game, as they’re all pretty fun to play in their own way. I’ve really loved my time as a warrior and think the class has some cool enough class fantasy on it’s own merits (If you’re into that kind of thing anyways)

Death knights are also cool… and they’re probably the closest you’re going to get to playing a necromancer in World of Warcraft. So it’s up to you what you want to do. “Follow your heart!”
