i really like the cata zones and overall vibe of the xpac but ive heard bad things. what was playing cata like? is my endgame progression going to be fun? interested in hearing the opinions of those who played when it was current. also is enh/ele sham a good choice or will i gimp my pugging experience.
It is a very suitable casual leveling experience.
Depends what race/faction you play.
A lot of Alliance side quest are depressing or outdated memes.
Some Horde quest are aggravating or make you feel like the bad guy.
Depends who you ask, some really loved cata and some hate it. I think mostly because it added a ton of changes, from questing, to the world and the addition of LFR and talent changes which many believe was the beginning downfall of WoW. And a lot loved it for the PvP and firelands is still brought up when talking about good raids
I personally enjoyed cata, however I started wow during that time. I didn’t experience old WoW that I’ve fallen in love with now until 2019.
You can give it a shot when it goes up on beta, I think the beta is opened this time around.
Or you can wait for it to release and pop on classic realms and give it a shot.
Sure, why not?
Give it a spin. You may like it!
No harm in giving a shot. It won’t cost you anything.
Or rather, it already did cost you but you paid for it.
Idk but heroic blackwing descent was a blast of a raid when it was current. I remember going on that website (can’t remember the name atm) before cross realm play was a thing and getting one of my first heroic difficulty kills. Such good memories of Cata.
