So, to clarify, Priest isn’t one of my favorite classes in the game, but there has been one instance where I really enjoyed it, and that was when I first made it in retail when I started playing. But, I only enjoyed it cause I did a certain race for the class in retail.
So, I’m wondering if I should make her in wrath. It was a Blood Elf Priest that I had played. Sorta since then, I haven’t much liked the class on any other race that I can think of
Wrath to Cata was IMO the most fun time to be a disc priest in the game’s history
NGL, for me there were some dark periods to leveling my s. priest to now 61.
But it got better. 40 gave shadowform. 60 pvp vendor gear baselines me way better than the random collection of greens from leveling/cheap AH hits. Been hitting tbc(c) feeling pretty good about it.
S. priest in wrath is very decent for pvp which I do mostly so that was my motivation.
Not sure what spec you want and goals. But in time priest met mine and its been a fun ride since then.
The JJ bonus up now will help too. this week is try to push tbc a alot to see how high I can enter CTA AV next week lol. I’d like to be there close to 70, to limit AV runs to 80.
priest is the most versatile healers in the game if we are speaking about pve healing anyway. you can make many builds off it if youre going for heals. i use “soul warding” i made 21/ 50 which makes my holy priest a better disc in a way lol and like a “baby” druid. got the aoe heals, the barriers, pom, the body soul speed and my regen thats pretty strong. i think the con is you cant get guardian spirit. for this but if you arent getting soul warding on disc side you can forgo this. its just a “little bit of everything” and a focus on more instant heals and its super fun.
anyways the point is you can really just build a lot out of priest.

Why do you need other peoples opinions to do something. Think for your self. If you want to make a priest then do it. Do we need to tell you what you should eat and how to wipe your butt? If you want to make it then make it. If you don’t like it then don’t play it. How is that difficult?
Mop feathers was crazy fun in pvp.
To me Wrath is the shadow priest expansion.
Not even very well geared I felt like a god at at say 39, 49 in bg.
A nice fun 1 level run there. then the level ding to meet the 49 as a 40. But at some point I was the 49. the ups and downs of pvp assisted leveling lol.
Its been a nice switch from retail. They have dumped on s. priests there since I tried them in BFA lol.
They ahd a nice 2-3 week run of greatness in BFA. That got nerfed to crap. Also its way more instant in wrath. Retail s. priests likes ramp up power setup too much for my liking.
is the button off CD? Cool…I press it. I’ll take wrath mana over retail insanity build up.
I decided to main DK and Druid for Wrath, and since I really enjoy Feral in pvp, and wanted to see what life was like from my disc priest partner’s point of view, so I ended up leveling an alt.
So, since my priest is an alt, I didn’t want to put too much effort into it, unlike my DK and Druid where I’ve played all their specs, and try to maintain decent gear for at least PVP, Tanking, and DPSing, on my priest, I decided to just focus on Disc for PVP and Disc for PVE.
I feel like it would be a lot more fun if I explored different priest specs, and the full toolkit. It seems like its pretty high skillcap in pvp, but I’m not sure that the aggressive pvp playstyle translates to pve.
I’d say if you’re interested in it, why not try it out?
I will say, priest healing never caught my eye. Its the shadow spec that made me at least enjoy blood elf priest in retail from WoD onward (i joined in WoD). If shadow spec is at least ok, and i can maybe find a place in groups in wrath, ill make one to just have her lingering around, if i ever wanna use shadow spec.
Give it a go, see what it’s like. Shadow priest in wrath and especially cata just seems awesome.
A priest or paladin is required to fight Rot Face and the Lich King, so you’d be popular.
