So I’ve heard you basically get free gear for grinding AV and a cheaper epic mount. I’m not really in any hurry to hit 60 but also don’t have much time to invest. I’d say 2-3 hours a night so roughly 30 hours a week.
Is that enough time investment to get these rewards? Will people hate me because I’m not 60 and report me all the time leading to my ban? Has anyone taken this route to 60?
I started spamming AV on my ally rogue at 51. Got to 53 in AV then quested to 57. And been only doing AV since 57 and im now only a few hours from 60.
Handing in marks gets you 3300xp so its actually pretty good if you win a lot.
Edit: i’ll also be rank 11 on it next reset. Was wanting to have the epic mount before 60 for funsies haha
If you win every 15 mins that is only like 14k per hour though.
Did you farm the caves inside AV too?
No farming caves. Just following the pack, killing LT’s etc

Actually probably more like 16 hours cuz you’re going to lose games you’re going to get to turtle
It actually is ~5-6hrs per lvl killing harpies. It’s 100% worth leveling like this.
I started at 51. I’m a first sgt in horde and my buddy is stone guard still not 60 yet. Definitely helps if you are trying to get some pieces right from the get go

this is what i did and it’s the way
You get great gear from grinding pvp ranks but the higher you rank the longer it takes to make it to the next rank, meaning a lot more grinding. It’s easier than it used to be but grinding 400-500k honor at rank 11+ still takes a long time.
After 51, you should be doing av enough to hit your weekly honor point caps, which will be pathetically low anyways. After that, get out and stop holding your team back, imo.
I did some AV as I leveled, mostly taking the suggestion above of hitting cap and bouncing back out.
You can still be useful sub60 and I didnt encounter too many people complaining - folks expect there to be a handful of sub60s in games i think.
That said, below 60, and specifically low 50s, is tough. Youre on a slow mount, get lots of agro trying to run by npcs, are a frequent target for 60s, and about explode if one attacks you.
All that said, I enjoyed the change of pace from the normal grind, and got some xp while i played.
Sub 60 is better than afk. Heals are heals, and slows are slows. Better yet take one for the team and lure people with a “free” kill.
Harpy cave will get you reported. Being part of the BG or not. And if the reports do anything or not is questionable. But you will catch reports.
