I mean we’ve tried discussing actual gameplay but nobody is every interested in that, just venting/ranting about their 2k (2600 if we adjust for inflation) shuffles.

I think there is still a lot of this, but I think the biggest reason that there’s a LOT less of this is solo shuffle. Because people can just Q up, there’s no reason to try and learn from your mistakes or network, so they’ll just rage and mald and blame other people and be toxic in general because there are no consequences for being a jerk.

not specifically this but a lot of it i imagine was one of the reasons blizzard resisted soloq for so long. they’re not bad intentioned just they don’t actually care about the game we experience as pvp onlys. I think for them it’s a small task to make it playable by some standard & the rest they trust us to suffer through.
Pvp by it’s nature is a game the players kinda facilitate themselves after all. If all they gave us was a place we’d still kill eachother.

Yeah, they specifically cited the biggest reason for them NOT implementing it for so long was the community aspect; There were a couple dev interviews on it, but they referenced how when you find people to play with and work together that’s a super positive experience that promotes comradery and positive experience and referenced how “other games with solo queues” have extreme toxicity and there’s something to be said for people being able to say, “this guy is a jerk. I don’t want to play with him”.

Why would you link that? how embarrassing for the warrior, who heroic leaps on the hunter while charge is still on cd?

And then he dies right after, but that is kiting to you right?
You can watch the entire vod if you’d like. He regularly gets kited by the hunter, and also regularly connects to him for pressure.
