Should I change to Alliance?

I’m mainly a solo PVP type of person, I dont really join premades or LFG of any kind I just like to do things on my own cause of time. During the beginning of SL things where great as a horde in WM and in BGs, but around the end of SL horde started to loose in almost every BG and EPIC BG, like a 10% chance of winning, and is still happening til this day. I even took a 3 months break.

Now, the problem that irritates me are the war supplies. Every 30 mins or so dozens of alliance with like around 4 horde max and i’ve only gotten 6 crates since release. Ive watched a podcast saying that the alliance get geared out faster while the horde struggles and takes way longer.

And for some reason some horde players dont even know the objectives of the BGs.

What should I do? Will things get better as horde? Or is it time to switch?

If so, what servers are best for alliance?

Moonguard is best for Alliance.

But you shouldn’t play Alliance for any of those things you posted. If you see something you like, play it. There should be no pressure.

Can’t you merc?

When I use to pvp random battle grounds back in Legion I just swapped back and forth to merc mode if I found one faction doing better than the other.

I think you can join Alliance premades as long as you swap to Mercy mode.

hmmm never really tried merc mode. last time i heard it was only available for high populated factions, but gonna go ahead and look into it.

Alliance has this issue too.

I can speak to this.
I have taken SS’s of my PvP journey from like 2021 till now. Even late 2022 it felt like Horde was essentially free win in BG/EBGs.

Sometime early Dragonflight the tables turned and on the whole Alliance has been on big wins ever since. Personally I wouldn’t bother changing, love your character for what it is. You can get glad set/elite set either faction.

I prefer alliance. Everything is more well laid out, easier to access, and closer to the best content. I only have a Horde to see the other side of the story.

yup mercenary is not available as horde, only alliance since they have longer queue times

It always feels like the other side is doing better until you swap teams. Sometimes you end up with a group of well coordinated individuals, and other times its a bumbling mess. Sometimes the same can be said about the opposite team as well.

Luck of the draw

Ugh…

Play both. Sometimes when I’m having bad luck on one faction in BGs, I switch to the other.

Kinda weird having Alliance be dominate in PvP now.

This is my issue, tbh ive only won 3 bgs since release and ive gotten 3 warcrates. When the horde wins at something it makes me hopeful for the faction.

Already bought the faction change, but just waiting to see if any improvements happen with the horde.

I try to have fun you know like people say, but loosing 80% of the time is NOT fun lol

wrong, moon guard is the best if you like a bunch of people RPing in big cities, no one engages in world content on rp servers. Stormrage server is best if you’re actually hoping to play the game.

i forgot whats best for alli but u can google, some sites show the populations

Yes.

We have more fun, the queue times are faster (im told), and gnome warriors are terrorists. Better to have them on your side.

Don’t go Moon Guard unless you plan on at least dipping your toes into RP.
Stormrage is a good option, so I’m told, if you don’t want anything to do with RP.

I feel like I’ve been seeing what op is experiencing.

I don’t know why exactly but it’s like Horde players don’t know how objectives work. Horde seems to take the L alot.

My guess is people truly serious/interested in pvp pick alliance because of the racials.

I myself have been thinking of using my one alliance toon for main pvp. Otherwise that toon has only existed to see the other side of the story.

Edit for spelling smdh

Is there actual concrete data showing win percents by factions?
I swear, everybody says their faction is always the losing one. The last time I recall outright bias was Ashran in WoD and some epic BG biases, like in AV.

Is there actual proof one is better in BGs?

i dont think u can merc for the side that already has the numbers lol
