Should I buy a lv 50 boost?

I’m wanting to reroll shaman but I’m on the fence if I should get a boost or not. Apparently 1-50 will take around 15 hours which would take about a week for me. Sixty dollars just seems like a lot. Is it worth it?

You miss being able to learn your skills, and how to apply them with practice.

Plus, I felt like I skipped almost to the end, and missed the journey. I’d never do it again.

Is your time or money worth more really.

Also have you seen the pop rates for leveling dungeons to get that 15 hours. Time to level can vary.

Also would you ahve any desire to do balance of power for this shaman later? I’d maybe look at a normal legion leveling if only to work off some of that rep if this is a goal.

I started a mage leveling in legion for this reason anyway. As much as I hate stormheim it is a rep need for balance of power. Mage wasn’t me so that fell off. but if I return to it…she at least has questing rep to get a head start on balance of power.

Leveling does not teach you the way to effectively use your abilities. You earn things before you can fully use them and if anything you learn bad habits because of this. The only thing it’s good for is memorizing keybinds so it’s not overwhelming trying to learn a dozen or so at once.

Huh, that’s new. I guess everyone is doing it wrong.

I’d feel like time is much more important than money but I dont have a lot of money so I still dont know.

as fast as it is to lvl now NO 1-50 doesnt take no where NEAR 15 hours much much less time then that.

Really depends on you. Do you like leveling? Do you have the time?

To me sometimes it worth if I want to level fast. But since I have all classes at 50 or higher I don’t have a problem with leveling anymore.

Some don’t even level in the spec they will be for endgame. Some classes have a leveling spec that offers more than the endgame spec for the leveling.

In some cases for dungeon spam…people will roll the tank spec for a class for better pops. They have no desire to be the star tank in mythic ++++++.

So they tank in leveling to get pops. Some are even nice enough to say this upfront so you know what you are getting.

I favor MM hunter for example. I level BM on new hunters.

Why?

A more official pet tank (MM with pet does not have all the bene’s of BM pet play) so for kill rare/elite stuff that needs 3 people is solo-able.

I’v tried leveling as MM…BM is just waaaay better to do it as imo.

60 ding…its now time to run MM.

doesnt even take 15 hours to lvl 1 to 50 right now as it is. leveling is super fast.

Give all your money to Blizzard. It’s useless to resist

True, but 15h may not be something readily available to people and 60$ may be worth the time or may not. Really just depends on the player

Never buy boosts unless blizz sells the expansion at reduced price. You get a free boost with buying the expansion. So once they mark down the price you get a boost at less than 60 bucks. So you enable your 2nd through 8th WoW accounts on your blizz account (no sub needed) and then upgrade those from base game to the expansion. It’s what I did a few months ago. Got 6 110 boosts for 20 bucks each (and those boosts are now level 48 so they gained value after SL level squish aka +3 levels vs what a 110 would be now which is 45).

Leveling is so short now and you can chain out mog running while leveling (2 birds one stone) that buying a boost now doesn’t seem worth it unless you are the person that can quickly gear out the new character (4x BoEs) and then get funneled loot.

Ultimately up to you. Can you boost faster (earn good income) than the time spent leveling normally? And will you even play the character after boosting? That second one is big because you don’t develop that connection with the character and the need to play it. Thus the boost goes to waste.

No don’t do it

I think it’s best to level a class yourself to get a nice handle on its fundamentals, but if you’ve leveled a shaman before and don’t mind shelling out the cash go for it.

Lol, true Blizz is going to end up having all the money anyways no point in trying to resist that inevitability. I’ll probably do it, just gotta check to see if my bank account is decent enough.
