It’s an addon that for sure has the potential to do more harm than good, but it’s not that high up on addons I wish they’d break.
Jack of all class but master of none here. But honestly spec like HDH warrior hunter druid frost mage warlock pally are easy to play to 80+ praise
I’m not really asking about that I am wondering if other people who are 3k
or even higher like 3.5k are really using this addon, and how much they have to override what the addon tells them to do. I just don’t know how it could provide some advantage, it seems like this addon would make you play worse as opposed to WAs which help you play better
In actual gameplay, it’s more than a lot of people seem to think.
its a learning tool that helps people learn specs its great should never be banned same with WA so much easier tracking things with WAs
Speak for yourself. I don’t use that add on.
Rotation helper addons are not really a problem, moreover you’d have a harder time even trying to ban them.
I heard this about Healbot and Vuhdu and Decursive when they first came out, too.
Yet here we are.
I like this addon, because it makes rotation into a sort of priority mini-game that makes combat a bit more fun. It’s weird, but it does. But yeah, it makes you addicted to it, and I can’t play without it now. Been using CLCRet since Wrath too. I need that dopamine of hitting the correct whack-a-mole.
I do disable the cooldowns/potions/trinkets though, and all such bloat. That’s too much I think. Pure rotation is enough.
I know that I’m gimping myself using it, instead of using muscle memory directly, and it’ll probably severely limit my ability to play the game when it’s no longer supported, but at this point it is what it is.
It may be a great add on for lower level players, but at higher levels, it’s a nuisance at best and a distraction at worst.
as enahnce shammy, you’re never certain what’s gonna come next in your rotation. Using hekili may thwart your learning of the spec.
people sure are concerned with what people who aren’t them are doing.
When you simultaneously own and roast a poster that hard, it’s an OWNST. Well done.
True tbf. Never played HDH in my life, but just loaded up the add-on, jumped straight into LFR and it absolutely slapped.
Exactly. I find it useful for getting a general feel for your rotation when trying a new spec but you really can not play optimally like this.
If you’re spending most of your attention on an add-on you’ve got no chance dealing with harder content.
Hekili is only a tool to teach the basics of your rotation, it doesn’t teach you how to properly line up your CD’s for the bosses and etc., so no I don’t think it should be necessarily banned. People should be able to stop having to use it eventually honestly, and if their not then their either using some autopilot bot for their rotation or are just being absurdly lazy by using it way too much as a crutch.
So your solution is to make them unable to play at all so they quit? Great idea, the 500k playerbase could drop to sub 100k.
lmao I tried Hekilli for a bit and this is one of the specs I tried it on, I hated it because it always seemed to be changing the next thing I ‘should’ be pressing.
Try playing a shadow priest or enh shammy without some sort of addon. Its not easy at all.
Is it Sunday already?
We’re having this bait thread a little too soon this week.
