Basically title
It depends on your mmr and mmr of the lobby, but on average, no.
exactly what he said.
i think there should be a general incentive for players to go 4-2 to gain rating.
but yeah if your like 1800 CR in a 2200 MMR lobby and u go 2-4 you still might/should gain a little rating
for healers
Still no. Scarcity of healers is not an excuse to so drastically break down the ELO system that MMR is based on.
I was thinking more about 40 min ques, then go 3-3 and gain nothing. It feels bad
Generally if you’re going 3/3 every game it indicates you aren’t the reason you’re winning or losing. Someone else is having a bigger impact for the better or worse on the lobby.
Someone either needs to go up and get out of your games or someone needs to go down and get out of your games.
3/3 feels bad because it’s indicating you’re roughly where you’re supposed to be. When you get in those lobbies where you’re the low MMR player and you’re 0-6 or 1-5 a 3-3 starts to look really nice.
So if you’re placed roughly where you should be. You have 2 options. 1) improve or 2) wait for inflation so you can move up with inflation.
The idea that the number at the end of the game isn’t moving feeling bad is silly. It does nothing to affect your game play anymore in terms of gearing. The entire rating obsession came from certain items being locked behind rating. 1400 or 2400 doesn’t make any difference in how your class operates. So just enjoy the games!
What is this inflation that everyone is talking about btw?
The beginning of the season you have all the rank 1 players, glad players, high exp players, duelist, rivals ect everyone is at 0 rating.
If you’re a 1500 player normally, and you’re facing these people at the beginning of the season you aren’t gonna get 1500 until they’ve had time to climb out of your range.
So as the best players climb their mains, second and third of the same spec, and their alts up it allows people to raise in rating relative to how far ahead they are.
The longer the season goes on, the more time people have to get rating, and the larger the spread can be for rating. Inflation
Yes. I don’t care. Often time going 3 and 3 is a hard fought achievement. Every match has at least one person that shouldn’t be in the match.
Unless you’re swole
This.
Scarcity of healers isn’t a balance problem. It isn’t a PVP problem. It isn’t even a WoW problem. Its an MMORPG problem. Enough people simply don’t enjoy playing healers because of how the role has been designed over the decades. Every game you ever play, being a healer will practically be instant invites, followed by tanks, followed by dps being a dime a dozen.
That’s the thing, queues shouldn’t be popping with people that aren’t going to award points due to a difference of MMR or CR or w/e. It’s such a waste of time to sit in queue for 30 minutes and gain 0 rating for 4 or 5 wins, but if I happen to have a bad game against the same I lose 60-80 points. Just feels like I’m playing for the chance to lose rating and that feels bad enough to give up on the mode.
yes, going 3-3 should reward the “better” healer, that would undoubtedly incentivize more healers…
I’d say no if the queues weren’t 30 minutes long. Due to the queue times 3-3 should give something even if small.
Basically, waiting for everyone that is better than you to pass you so you can fight people closer to or lesser than your skill and win more often.
Going 50/50 always results in a rating increase in normal arena unless you’ve managed to tank your MMR somehow. Why should RSS be any different?
going 50/50 in normal arena doesnt always give you an increase in rating
in general it matters more what your mmr is and whether or not ur losing the higher mmr games or the lower ones
for example if u go 5-0 in normal arenas and then lose 1 win 1 for 5 games u would gain points due to the mmr u gained from 5-0 previously but that would run out eventually and u would gain 0
this is yet another reason solo shuffle should have its own rating system and not use traditonal arena system
when u q up solo shuffle u are playing 1 arena, the mmr isnt changing every round, thus 1 arena
but it pretends as tho ur playing 6
it should factor in which comp youre playing with. going 0-3 with the same healer because they suck… well you cant do much about that. so yes you should
irrelevant
putting blame on the guy suffering bc u dont shear is weak
ya u can
