what would make tw dungeons fun would be if bliz added quake power ups thru the dungeon like quad damage and movement speed boosts. Id probably play my decked out blood dk more as a tank if I had a chance at running faster then 104% movement speed and to actually do damage.
Thats why i run as a few different twinks, i want to have “fun” and fun is a subjective word to many different people but fun for me is running (moving) very fast and smashing/ killing/bleeding out things as i keep on moving
People are allowed to like what they like and if you enjoy one shotting everything, then by all means you do you. Issue comes when the two sides who have woefully different goals and definitions of fun are forced to play together. Hence why this needs to be addressed. Easiest solution is fixing the scaling. Or better yet now separate the group pools then both sides an do their thing. if folks want to group with twinks they can, if they don’t want to they don’t have to.
I’ve done those things, those things require getting to max level and I prefer to do it asap.
You prefer to play your level 30 toon missing half of your abilities that’s your opinion and you’re welcome to it. I do not get any enjoyment out of doing Zulfurak for the millionth time.
Since there are seemingly so many people upset over this why don’t you all form a group and level together slowly?
See my above post, no one is forced to group with anyone. All of the people making these anti-speedrun posts can form a group and level as slowly as they like.
I’m kind of in the middle. I do think it’s really funky and kind of funny seeing a level 11 tank just demolish dungeon bosses like they’re no one’s business. It does make those runs incredibly quick, so that’s always nice. That being said, I have a feeling that’s not really the idea Blizzard had when reimagining the dungeons with the level squish with Shadowlands.
Ultimately, it probably would be healthier for the LFG/dungeon queue if dungeons returned to having a recommended level bracket, but I’m kinda indifferent and don’t mind one way or another. I just throw out my heals, stay in the back, and press the panic button when the tank gets a little too close to the danger zone because they decided to pull four different packs of mobs while hopping around the place. :3
I agree I don’t think it was their intention, but plenty of us predicted this when they said they would scale dungeons to your level instead of scaling players down for Timewalking.
They need a brand new person, brand new team and brand new philosophy when it comes to scaling. Things should become easier to defeat as you get higher in level.
Even before this Timewalking plenty of mint farmers complained how badly the scaling works when new expansions come out and how old raids are nearly impossible or much much slower to do for the first couple weeks
They won’t go anywhere, they’ll just be baiting with whatever the current thing is. An overwhelming supermajority don’t care when some level 11 think turns a 20 minute slog into a 5 minute walk to get their wow chore done faster.
People do timewalking for the carrot, even without the twinks, you won’t fail them. They’re still face roll easy, they just take more time.
I’m just really fatigued by reading what amounts to “I hate this content and shouldn’t be doing it at all. It could be better but what I really want is for you to hate it as much as I do.”
That is a tale as old as time itself… why I recall when heroic dungeons first came into the game and people complained till it became the default difficulty.
The wheel always turns again, and again, and again.
“This content is bad, I don’t want to do it, but blizzard can’t help themselves, and always gates desirable rewards behind trash content to pump engagement numbers”
They’ll never do it, but the game would be significantly better, if there was a universal currency that came from all forms of content that you could use to get the rewards you want.
And this right here is your problem. You want everything right now at the cost of 4 other people and sorry but you don’t get to do that.
See again you’re allowed to like what you like, but you don’t get to subject 4 other people to only being able to press W running behind you purely because you’re impatient. Yes I know it’s shocking that some people actually like to play their toons but that’s the reality of it. Your fun is not wrong and neither is mine, UNTIL one comes at the expense of the other.
And by that same token since you want to run through one shotting everything why don’t you all form your own groups? You people demand that myself and others “form your own groups or suck it up and deal” as though you have exclusive right to public group content and neither side does. You have a right to play, BUT so do I and the other people.
So we have an impass here. Easiest solution is to separate the two group pools, twinks in one and regular toons in the other just like pvp already does. If folks want to group with twinks they still can, and if they don’t want to they don’t have to. Then both sides win.
Otherwise as I’ve asked plenty of times now, why are you so dead set against separating the pools? Are you afraid you won’t get groups popped? If you’re this massive majority then why are you afraid you won’t be able to find groups? And if I end up eating an increased queue time then that’s my own fault and you people get an “i told you so” moment at my expense. So again what are you people afraid of?
I would love to do that so both sides can have their fun. problem is certain ones are so bent on not doing anything and preventing myself and others from being able to play too. They don’t want to separate the pools (easiest), they don’t want to fix the scaling because then they can’t one shot, they want the status quo even though it screws 4 other people.
Or maybe, just maybe, actually fix the scaling issues - you know, the actual issue here. Until the scaling issue is fixed, this problem will happen over and over again, and this solution makes literally everyone wait longer in queues.
Getting scaling to work is extremely difficult, but others like GW2 have managed to do it very, very well, so Blizz just needs to devote the dev time to this problem until it’s fixed.
No, absolutely not. Do you understand how queue times would be impacted? Why? All because right now level 11’s can solo time walking content because scaling on old enchants and gems is busted???
So instead of fixing the issues with level 11’s you would rather segregate players by level and increase the queue time for everyone without even solving the problem itself?
The reason is that DDs in endgear content can outgear the tanks from lower levels and get aggro from all mobs of a pack quickly.
This became worse in timewalk as well, because only characters on lvl 80 can have current set bonuses, trinkets and hero talents. Other characters might be upscaled to 80, but they still lack these bonuses, so they can’t keep up.
It 100% would, did you people not run a timewalking dungeon before? Shadowmourne, HoA, WoD ring, MoP cloak, whatever the two trinkets are that are absurd. These timewalking sets always existed
