Should BlizzCon In-Game Goodies Return?

Considering BlizzCon in-game goodies (e.g., the BlizzCon Bear) are promotional items, do you think we’ll see them become available in the Shop or Trading Post at some point?

I own numerous physical BlizzCon cards with an unscratched codes, as well as various redeemed in-game goodies (e.g., Orgrimmar Interceptor, Yeti Transmog, etc.).

From my perspective, I would love to see the associated items become available either on the Shop or on the Trading Post. Nobody should have to give hundreds of dollars to scalpers to get amazing transmogs that required no in-game efforts.

Place the BlizzCon goodies on the Shop (and perhaps the Trading Post afterwards, like Tyrael’s Charger) and let other people grab them without dealing with eBay scalpers. I also support doing this sort of thing with Collector’s Edition in-game goodies. I am speaking as someone who has a few of those too.

I am eager to read the views that others have on this subject!

Prove it, give me some

Unfortunately, I believe that if I did, they would become scratched codes and thus there would be no evidence remaining!

I don’t have them all, but I have some.

If they wanted to bring back the mounts from that Airship/Zeppelin Blizzcon, I would support it.

So yeah, it wouldn’t bother me.

It would bother me. I went to blizzcon and bought a virtual ticket. Just to have a spare code to hold on to.

Thanks for responding. I’m trying to understand your perspective. What in particular would bother you in this case? You would still have your spare code. Is there something else at play?

I have a bunch of blizzcon and collector’s edition stuff.

I think, after 20 years, it’s long past time to add them. Even if it’s to the cash shop or something.

The value of my spare code, and rarity of my current mount.

I think we might see recolors.

I mean… who doesn’t want a pink Yeti onesie?!

Virtual tickets, as far as I know, have no purchase limit. As a result, I’m not sure if I would deem them to be rare.

I can understand the monetary value being a factor. I don’t share the same feeling but I do understand where you’re coming from. Are you basing the value off of the ticket purchase cost or its resale value? What if Blizzard’s pricing on the Shop came in around either of those values?
