The Horde Flight Master’s favorite mount, especially in the Orc areas, is the old Wind Rider Wyvern. Let’s face it, this hard working creature is certainly pretty basic, graphics-wise.
Now, some might say that nostalgia is important but given how different and more detailed most of the later expansion public transport mounts are, do you think its time to retire the old beasts and give them a new look?
Maybe to something like the Grand Wyvern?
The default Wyverns are probably the ugliest mounts in the game.
The Grand (Armored) Wyvern is literally my favorite.
So, I’m not against them updating it.
However, personally I think the process of unlocking the good version is honestly quite enjoyable to do once, and having this as a reward for rep / story grind is good solo content.
I remember being new and honestly enjoying old TBC/WOTLK/CATA reputation quests. The Netherdrakes from TBC and the Firelands faction quests from CATA being some of my favorite new-player experiences. And I didn’t do them until WoD.
It is effectively removing good content from the game by making it redundant.
