As an LFR regular, I frequently apply for Normal raids and my applications are always rejected. Why has Blizzard made it so difficult for LFR to get into higher level raids and should Blizzard change this? Why or why not?
The answer most likely to be given is to start your own raid. Or join a guild that raids.
But beyond that, is there a reason you are denied? Or is it that just the groups want aotc or similar as a pre-req?
There is nothing blizzard can do in any case. Its also why carries exist. So people can say “oh yeah, I can do this. See my aotc?”
Yes most groups seem to prefer those who are AotC and/or overqualified for the raid for which they are applying.
Blizzard has no control over forcing people to like you OP.
More importantly, you can start your own Raid as well as find (or start) your own guild.
People aren’t rejecting you from normal raids because youre an LFR regular. They’re rejecting you because we’re several months into the season and you don’t have any experience in the normal raid.
At this point, people just want to farm bosses for loot, they’re not interested in teaching you how to progress. The time for progression was a while ago while the raid was new.
Eraclis: I am not good at running raids. I don’t enjoy leadership. With that being said, it wouldn’t kill the people who are running the raids to be a little nicer and more inclusive.
It’s not Blizzard’s fault you’re not getting invited, nor is it a problem they need to fix.
Why on earth would someone chose some one who has never run the raid over someone who has?
Furry: I disagree with that mentality. It’s still season one with a new season not being on the horizon until May or June supposedly, leaving plenty of time for new players to learn the content on normal mode. You’re taking “hardcore” to an extreme in that mentality. We’re talking elitist jerks at this point.
So you’re trying to join farm groups… Jatarri’s advice is solid. If you want to pug normal you’ll need to join a guild. That will at least help open up the potential to pug.
You need to bite the bullet and find a guild to help you get started with raiding. Start looking now for a normal guild for the next raid coming up.
It’s not required - and you are expecting Blizzard to make it a requirement.
You can look for a guild that is willing to hold your hand in the manner you need though.
Good luck!
Most of the guilds on my server are filled with words that I can’t say here. Guild are not nice nowadays like they were in Vanilla.
Sometimes people do PUG learning groups, could look for them. I don’t really have the time to play the game several hours in a row so I just stick to LFR, but if I did I’d try to get in a guild that raids. It’s a lot more fun when you interact with your raid members and you don’t have to worry about getting kicked for stepping in a swirly one time (hopefully!)
You have a wonderful day. Cya!
This is entirely a player issue. If they give people more loot then the barrier to entry goes up to match.
Then it is a you problem. The advice is solid. complaining on the forums isn’t going to get you anywhere but put into peoples ignore filter.
If you’re going to make it personal then let’s start that filtering process right now.
Giving people more loot doesnt change the fact pug leaders will always pick the best players they see in que.
You made it a personal problem with this statement. Nobody else. This means that you’re unwilling to make concessions in order to advance your character.
Good Luck.
Peace I’m out
