Feels weird that it’s an optional talent though right? I hope they don’t remove it.
It’s a staple for the slayer hero tree, which is blademaster without the mirror images and stealth mechanics. It’s not going anywhere due to it being an iconic warrior ability that’s been around for ages.
Personally I think it’s fine that it’s a talent with a choice between it and ravager which changes based on your build which dictates the better option for your build of Colossus/Thane = Ravager and Slayer = Bladestorm.
The talent system provides an illusion of choice, it’s not necessarily ‘optional’ at all if you care about your throughput.
In short, no. Although the hero talent demands it, same as thunder clap, it should remain optional. The one that NEEDS to be baselined is sudden death. Would give Fury that auto-proc execute that a FURY warrior would lean into, and would allow Blizz to properly build a hero spec around it. That we got through S1 without it and have been forced into taking it for S2/S3 kind of illustrates Blizz’s understanding of the fury tree.

Yikes, if you think the tantrum the Pally discord mods threw had anything to do with ret’s 5% buff week 1 of tuning when other specs who didn’t throw such a tantrum got buffs too due to week 1 performance. I guess warriors are going to be the next laughing stock of the community.
Have you seen the 11.2.5 notes? Another big buff for 'em on the way.
What notes? Do you mean the datamined inclusion of the recent tuning that’s already live as of this week? That’s just to sync up the ptr version to live, there has been no changes at all afaik to any spec in the current 11.2.5 build.
It’s all just legion remix stuff and adding in hotfixes already added to live to ptr.
