Should alt-code special characters be allowed in names?

Ok, Cigarette.

Alt codes should be allowed because I need a way to figure out who to respect less

You know what, this is the best reason for keeping them I’ve seen yet.

No. I hate names with Alt codes.

Sure. I play with friendly name plates turned off and on an RP server where 80% of people are running TRP3 who knows what anyones actual name is.

I don’t like special characters in names, but there isn’t a way to solve the issue now anyway.

my guy have you seen some of the names in game I will literally get banned for just typing them here if I did and some people have these names for months at max level

Could change the requirements and then force changes for those that don’t comply.

Yes, they should be allowed.

We need an unbiased opinion

Are you calling me biased? I mean, I might be just a little

I mean it sure beats paying to change my name so I can use it on my (much preferred) monk over this demon hunter I’m sick of playing.

Hmm, no alts codes in your name, you seem like an unbiased poster. This checks out.

As someone who has names like Ðave, or Gnomerçy and other such names, I don’t mind it. If Blizz would go back to recycling unused names from unsubbed name hogs, special characters might not even be needed. Then again, there are RP appropriate names than use characters like ReneĂ© or FrancoĂs that make sense.

Of course. I am absolutely not hiding behind any sort of disguise.

Hey guys what’s going on here? I don’t think I came out of the cloning vat right. Send help.

Yes, yes I believe they should be allowed.

There is no server identity anymore after phasing came into effect. Level scaling also killed the world feel. Server identity is no longer a thing.

It doesn’t affect me so I don’t care.
