Should 8.1 have pathfinding part 2? Or is it too soon?
Pathfinder should have went away when Warmode was added.

I agree on both points, just trying to collect feedback on reasons why it should or should not be included in 8.1. Blizzard made this change for someone and im trying to locate who and how many people think that it shouldn't be.
I would prefer that instead if having to wait till 6-8 months. I've already seen the environemet.
Correction: by now we’ve seen the environment and done the content ten times over. Part 1 should unlock flying in all content available at BfA launch. Part 2 can unlock flying for the next batch of current content. So on and so forth.
One thing I've noticed that without flying I'm not playing as much. Every time I use a flight path - and that's a lot, since I can't fly on my own, I alt tab out and surf the net for a bit. It cuts down on the momentum, and I end up logging out pretty quickly since I'm not really engaged with the game.
So, yeah, I'm hoping for earlier rather than later flight, but like other posters, I don't think it will happen any time soon.
It should already be there. There is no good reason to time gate this as long as they have. I have done all the quests on both factions, all the current war campaign on both factions. World quests are pointless to do as they give me nothing except some faction I don't need.
Blizzard says they gate it because they want people to see the content and such. Well, I seen it and done it all so let me have it now.
I just spent ten minutes killing adds because "I was in combat". It is getting old and stale and tiresome dragging garbage no matter where you go.
this gets funny sometimes with hunters (or this night elf). I have gotten quite a few conga lines heading to a flight master. then I popped feign death/shadow to see my massive fan club go away.
But yeah...flying would be nice. I tire of even my "what line will they say game" as I rush by mobs.

It be nice if they threw in some wtf oddball lines. Same blood trolls we have blew by for weeks and suddenly they say something like "where you going, you know you my mlikshake!!!". this would have me at least stop and say did you just say something new?
See small things like this...get my interest. Like some mods in skyrim pick up "cutting floor" stuff and put it back. So even at 500+ hours of play the game can get "new". As the NPC's you have heard say the same crap for 500 hours are now saying entirely new stuff.
I'm more concerned about the apparent fact that there are no plans to stock this fantastic open world with relevant content befitting it -- content that would make me care more about the time and effort of travel. But stocking the world with relevant content would require innovation ...
I honestly don't get the point of pathfinder. The reasoning behind it has changed multiple times. I use my whistle, I use my hearth, besides convenience and efficiency I don't see the difference between flying to my destination and using flight paths and ground mounts. Once a bit slower I guess, so what. WPvP isn't a valid reason, especially considering most of it happens on world quest territory anyway. They want us to earn flight as if hitting the lvl cap isn't enough, come to thing of it there was absolutely no reward for doing so. Not a talent, not a glyph, not even a firework in my mailbox. Nothing.
For the record, those who support time gating pathfinder are the minority.
It should be in the game already but Blizzard is stubborn and will think if they give in early they lose...something...or another. Anyways, my sub is up in December. I foolishly purchased a six month sub a bit before the launch because I thought Blizz would provide great content for six months. I. Was. Wrong.
I think so. I'm pretty casual and I have 2 toons, 1 Horde 1 Alliance, at 120. I've unlocked Dark Iron and Pathfinder pt. 1. My Horde toon is slowly creeping towards respectable gear and unlocking Mag'har. I have 2 alts still in Legion that will be ready for BfA by next week or so, and a bunch more Allied race alts that are on the way (admittedly they won't be at BfA levels for months, but still there they are).
I'd say I've explored enough of the world on both sides of the faction war. Time for flying. And the next patch will be perfect timing for it. Just add a quest chain that can be finished in a day or so and call that Pathfinder pt. 2 and quit playing these stupid games with flying.

they did if for themselves.
not flying means people spend more time getting to places and killing the stuff in between, inflating the time played metrics. while also drawing out what little there is to do in game with travel time.
if they could get away with it they'd remove flying completely because the current team cant handle designing zones with flying in mind like back in BC/WotLK.
