Shortage of Ony Heads

This is really encouraging, and more of this feedback would be massively helpful. I think the clear answer is removing the buff cooldown, I mean, the worst thing that can happen is buff spam?

Just get rid of the cooldowns. Your servers can’t help the entire server sitting around waiting for a single world buff CD to go off.

your azuregos and kazzaks aren’t just a competition on how many people can blow sappers to wipe the opposing faction?

I couldn’t speak to how things are on PVP or other servers, just my own. I’m glad I’m not a developer; just a player offering my feedback based on my own experiences.

lol wut. A loud cohort of people trolling up forums and every channel they can on the internet certainly is not “everyone”.

On my server we have a server schedule with the guilds that raid which forces my guild to either raid at their time or not get the buff. It makes it unfair. Remove the cooldown! Please!

If i leveled a priest to make gold resetting ony. While playing blizzard for an extra sub. I’d be pretty pissed if you made this change.

Cross faction collusion? I’m paying for both accts and you allow me to do it. Of course my characters collude with each other.

Agreed.

This would cut off the entire motivation for doing this. Stacking world buffs wasn’t common in vanilla anyway.

Oh lord please don’t change this. Changing this would mean that people who work full time on populated servers would very rarely be able to get ony buff for raids. I think the fact that alliance are able to kill the horde priest is a perfectly acceptable balance to this.

If there were to be a change, I feel like they would remove the cooldown entirely. Because in effect, nothing is meaningfully different and it removes harassment/griefing.

Some of us are already playing on servers that have many many more players then any server in vanilla did, if you change this you will make it so much worse for us.

There’s a very easy solution for this, remove the 6hr cooldown of the dragonslayer buff. The fact that guilds are having to level extra characters on the opposite faction so they can MC the NPC and choose their own buff time is ridiculous.

All the issues you addressed in your post can be solved by the removal of the cooldown, vanilla private servers removed the cooldown and had none of these issues regarding same-faction drama/conflict over dragonslayer.

Yeah I can agree with this. If they changed it and didn’t remove the cooldown it wouldn’t even really prevent the people who play the game to be competitive against other people from getting ony buff it would only prevent them from playing the game for more days. As it is currently I can count on head being reset as a set time before raid on my raid night, so I can go get my buffs, hearth to SW and wait for the reset and then log out of that character until raid. If it gets changed that just means ill end up having to get my buffs, log out for a longer period of time days ahead of time and then wait until a head is going to drop that I am available during so I can log in to get it. Then I may end up not being able to play that character for multiple days while I sit on buffs waiting for raid.

just remove the timer, why be lazy about this

Thank you for your response Kaivax, you are doing a great job!

I agree. As long as World Buffs are possible, we’re kinda all forced to get them if we want to stay competitive.

It would be great if they just weren’t a thing. Then I wouldn’t have to constantly stress about them anymore.

Pfffffft, so much has already been changed at this point what’s the big deal. Massive servers that can be supported by actual vanilla spawns of Nodes? Perfectly fine. Being able to get a world buff at players leisure? We’re watching this carefully. Absolute crap show sometimes

at what? Replying to something that isn’t a freaking problem?

Yes. Engaging with the community and giving thoughtful insights.

You’d rather he go away? Don’t be silly.

He didn’t engage. He made a statement on something that no one gives a crap about.

The bug report forums aren’t filled with people lamenting ony/nef heads. The general forums aren’t either. It was just one guy.
