I might treat myself and buy a new monitor with the holiday sales. I currently have a 29" 2560 x 1080 at 60hz. I’m looking for a curved monitor now. Probably this one :

My system : Ryzen 5 5600 and RTX 3060.
My main concern is will my PC handle it? The monitor is a 165hz, and so maybe I should stay with 60hz or 144hz with my specs. What do you think?
It’s all about what aspect of the game is the most important to you.
The first thing I wonder is, why would you “upgrade” from an ultrawide to a 16:9 monitor? WoW is pretty amazing on an ultrawide. I resisted going with an ultrawide for a long time, but now I could never go back.
I had a 32" Samsung curved 1440p 144Hz Freesync VA monitor prior to my current ultrawide. It was very similar to the one you linked, but maybe a generation or two older. It was okay, but 1440p on a 32" Monitor is pretty low DPI. Low DPI monitors make aliasing look particularly bad. I had to run the game with the in-game render resolution at 4K in order to get proper anti-aliasing and make things look decent. But you probably won’t be able to get away with that using your 3060.
It absolutely makes sense to get a monitor that can do more than 60Hz, but above 144Hz is pretty pointless IMO. Your not going to see refresh rates that high in content that matters such as raiding, etc. The higher refresh rate might come into play while doing stuff like world quests (depending on zone), but you will end up limited by your 3060 in many cases. I upgraded from a 2080 to a 4080 because I was hitting 100% GPU usage at 1440p in outdoor content, and the 3060 is slower than the 2080.
What will be more important than max refresh rate will be good G-Sync/Freesync support. That will help keep the game looking smooth even during the realistic framerates you will see during group content, as well as while in big cities, etc. When I bought an Ultrawide I went with a model that had a hardware GSync module (aka G-Sync Ultimate) because it works down to 1Hz, while the Freesync (aka “G-Sync Compatible”) monitors usually have a minimum refresh rate of about 48Hz or so, below which it has to use LFC (Low Framerate Compensation), which just duplicates each frame to get the FPS back up into the Freesync range. It’s a good solution, but nothing beats the actual hardware module
There is a great selection of 34" Ultrawide monitors. I think that would be a better upgrade over your existing monitor rather than a 32" 16:9. But if you simply prefer having more vertical height instead, for WoW or other reasons, then that’s fine.

I’m glad you answered my post because I think I should reconsider the 165hz now. I don’t want to put strain on my system and I don’t want poor anti-aliasing. What I have isn’t so bad I guess haha. thank you.
