Shopping for a new game is like mattress shopping

“Shopping” for the right game to enjoyably pass the time with can feel similar to shopping for the right mattress. You can do all the research you want but you won’t know if it works for you until you try it yourself, and you won’t really discover whether or not its the one for you until after you’ve invested quite a bit of time into it.

So you’re telling me that you don’t know if you’re gonna like something until you experience it?

Know? Correct. You won’t know until you experience it yourself.

You can research and get an idea, form a belief of whether or not you think you will enjoy it, but you won’t know unless you actually do it.

I would have a lot of mattresses if this was the case. I just buy them and if they suck, I wasted my money and go buy another. Elden Ring one week DF one week, COD the next, HWL this week… Prolly gonna be another next month.

na, i know what games i like and don’t like. I’ve played enough over the years to know what genres to stay away from, and i know what reviewers out there have similar tastes.

Purple mattress is the best brand no matter what you say or research

I’d pay the premium for it again had I start all over

I tend to agree

and all the review sites also appear to be fraudulent fronts for some kind of money laundering

MMOs and mattresses used to be the same. You hunted for one with the features you wanted and a pretty good guarantee of getting at least 10 years out of it.

you should try PC GamePass
