Am I having a senior moment, or is there no way to gift someone a 1 year subscription? I am trying give a friend a year as a gift (so he can get the mounts) but I can’t find a way to do it.

You cannot gift subscriptions, as those must have a recurring payment source.

Subs an not be gifted because those require a re-occuring payment method.
You can gift them enough Battlenet Balance to cover 60 days of a game time block, but that gifted Balance can’t be be use for a sub either.

Also of note, any promotions that require subscription time will not work with the game time blocks.
So this current promotion will require an active and repeating 6-month or 1-year subscription. Game time blocks purchased with cash or Battle Net Balance will NOT count.
