Would love to see the additon of a “Shockadin” weapon similar to Leogan but for the 1h sword and board gameplay style “Tyr’s Fall” is nice for spellpower and healing but it lacks the .5 sec global CD reduction that Leogan has and using Leogan essentially means giving up the use of Avenger’s shield which is not exactly essential to the build but does add some nice utility and a tiny bit of aoe damage.
i mean you could mid combat weapon swap and not give up Avenger’s Shield.
I’d rather see an enchant that reduces the weapon damage by 100% and swaps it out for ‘up to’ 50% of our Holy spell damage using the same formula that Seal of Righteous uses, so slower weapons will hit for more than faster ones.
This way, any weapon can become a ‘shockadin weapon’.

Or a item similar to the Blacksmith trinket that conjures a 1hand epic-quality mace.
Only this one summons a 2hand mace with a special ‘on equip’ that replaces Avenger’s Shield with Long Arm of Justice (similar to how Mangle rune replaces Claw with Mangle - Cat)…
Long Arm of Justice:
Hurl your hammer dealing [use AS’s damage x2; so like if you have Libram of Avenging equipped] and dazing the dazing the target for 5 seconds. Ability not affected by Libram of Avenging.
Conjured 2hand Mace:
Name: Tyr’s Might
Damage: Similar to Truthbearer
Damage Type: Holy
Stats: Stamina only
On Equip:
- Allows the wielder to block
- Converts 100% of Parry and Dodge into Block
- Increases Holy Damage by 150. If Shock and Awe is active, increases damage by an additional 50.
- While Shock and Awe is active, bonus healing is reduced to 0.
- On Use: Channel the Light to transform Tyr’s Might into Tyr’s Mercy

[all 'white text the same as Tyr’s Might]
On Equip:
- Allows the wielder to block

The idea is to try and fix up the issue where Shockadin can both nuke you and then heal up and nuke your friends. By removing the bonus healing or damage we get from gear, HOPEFULLY, the healing and damage would be reduced enough that either form of the Paladin (healer or shockadin) would be manageable.
The idea behind being able to Block with it is so you can use Libram of the Devoted (restore mana on blocks) if you wanted to. But the counter is to keep the avoidance down a bit.
I like being able to keep Avenger’s Shield without needing to wield a shield; shields and sword just don’t “feel” like what paladins should be using. Gimme that big ol’ warhammer (yes, yes I am intentionally using that word) to cave in skulls with.
I like the idea of some classes being able to conjure their own weapon. - Loved using the Bound Weapons in Skyrim.
Note: This would not be Tyr’s Fall. I believe, if my lore-foo, is still up to snuff. That the Silver Hand is actually named in honor of Tyr (the Watcher). If so, it would stand to reason that they might make artifact-grade items named in his honor.
Not viable. Any gear swap causes the shock rune buffs to fall off because of lazy fixes to our spec.
Another example of a change made in EARLY phases of SoD to “balance” different classes that involuntarily damage the viability of certain builds at level 60
It would be nice to see some adjustments done to some of our runes/abilities/setbonuses so that shockadin can actually perform in raid.
Currently even the BiS 2h shockadin build doesn’t do NEARLY as much DPS than even the 2nd worst on the SIM list.
2nd worst dps Ranged MM does 11,300 DPS on the sims with their BiS set in a 2min fight.
Shockadin does 9610 DPS on the sims with their BiS set in a 2min fight.
Even the weapon they’re expected to use “Leogan” is handbuilt for an Exodin build not a Shockadin one.
Druids get 4 different gear sets to support their different specs.
Shamans get 4 different gear sets to support their different specs.
Paladins get 3 sets and they have to pick and choose mix/match these pieces if they want their 4th spec somewhat supported???
Would like to see a “Shockadin” specific set or at the very least a Shockadin weapon/trinket that supports Holy shock a bit more.
I know we have the ZG-set but it requires that you pick up the entire 5-set if you want the set-bonuses that basically make/break the build and the int/spelpower stats on that set are miserable compared to (P8) Tier 4 sets, not to mention it leaves limited options for itemizing other sets with this one.
