I literally just said even with an 80% crit chance you will on average need to cast it 5 times before incurring a CD. You can get 80% crit almost from talents alone.
No one is surviving 5 crit holy shocks to the face. So they are dead after that anyways
This is so much stronger than chimera shot it’s not even funny and it’s all done well being a full healer in healing spec well healing their team.
Imagine if hunters could bubble and do all their damage to players. Now imagine if you buffed hunter damage so that chimera shot had 80% crit chance and reset its cd 80% of the time and gave them the ability to bubble. That still wouldn’t be as bad as shockadin because shockadin is healing his team well doing his damage and has plate and shield with dispels and heals Lolol.
Regardless this is the most busted thing I’ve yet to see in all of SOD and nothing even comes close to this.
Bro holy shock costs no mana when it crits. 80-100% of the time. You can spam shock well sitting at 100% mana bar the entire time go try it in PTR.

18% crit from rune
Mele crit (rune above gives Mele crit as spell crit) baseline Mele crit with horn and Mele crit talents is 22.5% base crit chance added to spells
5% base spell crit plus 5% spell crit from holy tree
That’s over 70% crit chance with zero crit from gear. You can easily get 10+% crit from gear so 80% crit chance is low end crit
Also warriors raid wide buff gives you 5% mele crit(Paladin mele crit is spell crit) and 5% spell crit so total 10% from warrior raid wide buff. You get this a ton of the time in bgs
You can easily get 90-100% crit with Warrior rally cry up. So ya it really does pretty much not have a CD.
I was talking in Wrath version going OoM with it an that is by exo spam as well You cannnot even cast cast holly shock enough to go OoM and it isnt a prefeed form of attack either in the level 60 version of the game.
testing it, you have FILLER that is good. From shield, to exorcism, to wrath, there are strong filler abilities. Its still insane doing 4k dmg on ptr but instead of every 1.5 sec its every 3 sec. And since you have other abilities you just fill em in so its not a 50% overall reduction per sec its a lot less.
holy paladin will still obliterate players with this build
they transcended god mode prior, so a nerf even of this size isnt making it bad by any means
just test it on PTR and can still reach 4k holy shocks. But with a 3 sec cd instead of 1.5 u have to weave one spell between each. Exorcism, shield throw, etc all still hit really hard and for magic damage. Still WAY better at killing players than any dps warrior spec lmao.
Sure you cant maintain 100%+ more dps than an Arms warrior on a raid boss over 20 seconds anymore but in PVp youre still a gross monster as a shockadin. Game is pretty unplayable for real.

You shock boys trying to defend their op bs shock spam saying they nerfed holy paladin. It’s also OP for holy paladins to have a no mana cost 100% crit chance no cd instant heal they can spam to infinity.
1 button 2k instant cast no cd spam is brain damaged. They should never have added the 50% damage buff to holy shock as a set bonus in phase 5. Total mistake.
I’ve wanted to play a Holy Paladin for a while now. After finding out a way to get an alliance character on my main account. I did and I had zero idea about the HS buff. I have said Ele was never as OP as Enh ever was, since day 1. I have always hated Ret but loved Holy Paladin. After leveling as Ret on SoD… I still hate Ret and can’t wait to switch to holy and heal up some instances and bgs… cough, AV. lol
My AV record so far on Alliance side is 1-4. The only win was a game in which we didnt send 30 people to Galv and had a small group on D. Who would’ve guess that strat would work.
