Shipping & Handling, and D.R.I.V.E. System

I am personally enjoying the Shipping and Handling quests and event that goes with it. However, I don’t like the Drive system. I would have preferred using my own ground mount and simply running over speed boosts (the anniversary Chromie event had such a feature where you could run through an orb of light and move faster). I think every major city should have some kind of shipping and handling quest/event.

The Drive system should have been a uniquely instanced scenario, basically a racing game you queue for.

Additionally I really don’t like the vehicle that we have to use and would personally would like to use my goblin trike or other small motorized vehicle.

We can still use our own mounts for this. I do all the time. I cast the DRIVE spell, start the jobs and then swap to my mount.

This is a vehicle spell and not an actual mount. So they would’ve had to implement different cars for the vehicle spell. Which I assume would be more time and resources they didn’t want to spend.

I really like DRIVE, I just wish Undermine was a little bigger to better utilize it.

Don’t even have to do this. You can get a portable radio from Nanny Tallulah (or whatever the drive coordinator’s name is) and use it to start jobs while on your regular mount.

I hate the entire area, lol. Just too cluttered. D.R.I.V.E isn’t my thing either BECAUSE it’s so cluttered.

I actually do this. Unless the special event is happening.

I don’t mind the car. Once you get the hang of how it handles and some extra options to adjust the handling it’s fun to drive around.

I do this during the event as well.

That is good to know. I have a quest to pick up shipping and handling as an introduction to the drive system and decided not to bother because I couldn’t figure out how to pick up the job without DRIVE. I hate the DRIVE system and will never use it ever again. This could actually allow me to finish the quest.

I wished they’d have linked braking to the horn, it’s way too easy to overshoot, or bounce back away from, a mark by some distance.
