I completely understand the grind is supposed to be intense, but the lack of layers is currently causing most people like myself to earn less than 40 per hour, at this point Scarab Lord is going to be impossible for anybody without the wealth to buy the fragments from the AH.
There really needs to be more layers, at least zone specific

Not remotely enough layers, at least on CS. It’s also highly problematic that only one Broodlord head can be given per raid (assuming the same holds true for the red fragment). Surprised that they didn’t tone down this quest a bit for SoD.
I mean they did cut the requirement in half for the requirement from the bugs. Went from 42k~ to 21k~. Prices dropped below 3g today on WG so I bet the prices are going to tank hard soon enough.
i have no idea what kinda complain is this… people are faming a lot of carapaces… this was not meant to be a solo farm…get a guild…
When did they reduce the amount? From what I see, you still need ~42k bugs.
This was not meant to be solo in vanilla/classic. This is SoD. They’ve dumbed down every other mechanic, so why not this one?
scrub lord is legendary. not meant to be completed by every nerd who read the guide on wowhead. in vanilla we had to figure it out ourselves.
