Normally, when you Shift-click a name in the chat window, you see info about the character (name, level, guild, etc.). But, recently this hasn’t been doing anything at all for me. Or, will sporadically work. Makes it very difficult to quickly gauge information about people in chat.
Anyone else having this issue?
Yes, same issue here. What addons are you using? Maybe one we’re both using is causing the issue.
In particular I wonder if ChatLinkIcons could be breaking it.
Happens for me without chat addons -seen a few other mentions of this on the forums after posting. Similar issue is happening with “who” list where it just doesn’t refresh or update at all.
I think instead of it being broken, Blizzard is limiting queries to once every 60 seconds. If you wait around 60 seconds and try again, it works. Either case, it isn’t working as it should.
