Which one is more satisfying to use? I’m inclined towards SL as a Warrior main, but damn, Avenger’s shield feels great. Really wish there were more tank classes with shields! Starting with Shamans of course…maybe one day.
Definitely, Avengers Shield.
Shield slam is more akin to Crusaders Strike. Except you strike with a shield instead of a hammer.
And it generates rage instead of holy power.

That’s like trying to decide between “Hulk smash” and Captain America’s shield! Both are great. (Especially Hulk smashing Captain America’s shield)

I love avenger’s shield… I hate “Whirly Hammer” though.
I like the concept of it, and have since D2
but it just feels so unsatisfying in its current interation
not like hammer of the righteous is a ton better anyhow.
yeah, I think if it had a little more “OOMPH” or something it would be more fun to use, I feel like when im spamming it in a pack of like 10 mobs I can barely tell its doing anything besides keeping my tier set bonus active
I find Avenger’s Shield a way more fun button to hit, so that one. (Especially with Divine Toll. SHIELDS FLYING EVERYWHERE)
I love divine toll, I love the damage it does, I love the sounds it makes and above all I love how useful its application is in mythic+ or spread out mob packs in general
