Ever since 10.0.5? On my prot paladin, and port warrior my shield is not appearing even though it’s equipped.
I’ve tried different tranmog, different shields, different toons. I even uninstalled the game to see if that would fix it.
Nothing is working please fix.
i have the same issue on my paladin, some times it show when going out of a dungeon , but when im changing maps it dont show anymore
I’ve the same problem on my warrior. I’ve tried different transmogs, tired not transmoging it at all.
Ran scan and repair.
disabled all addons
renamed files in user interface
Still doesn’t show. It’s in my inventory and is there in all but appearance.
We need this bug fixed asap I can’t tank without my shield
is profession equipment over-riding your appearance?
No it’s normally after I load into the game and my shield doesn’t appear until I’ve used like shield slam or avenging shield and then when I load again my shield is gone
Did a BG, auto set me to ret spec when I went in, had to swap to 2h, soon as it was over and I left, auto swapped back to tank, but went to put 1h/shield back … shield was just gone… no item or anything.
having this same problem on my shaman as well. Tried all sorts of stuff and no luck… Anyone had luck w/ a fix yet or just buggy?
Only thing that works right now is going into combat. I’ve noticed it only glitches on my characters that have prof gear
I have had the same Issue for weeks now… Exactly how all of you have explained it. It is just not there until I enter combat and even then sometimes it disappears and doesn’t come back after I mine an ore. How do we get this resolved? Blizz makes it so hard to even make tickets anymore
I have the same issue. Deleted Cache & WTF folders, reloaded a dozen times. Nothing fixed it
For what it’s worth. My Fury warrior only displays one weapon. So, it seems that off-hands in general are affected. They’ve had plenty of time to hot fix this.
I had this issue everytime I logged into my HPally, it seems to fix when I right click the buff that shows I have my profession equipment on.
Having this issue too on my shaman.
Yes, mine has the same problem, the shield simply does not appear
Opened a ticket and here is the response I got:
TLDR: take off profession equipment, or talk to Mahra Treebender (found 3 places) to change how prof equipment is displayed.

Sounds like you noticed your shield wasn’t showing up on your Shaman even though it was equipped.
The reason this is happening for you and other characters is due to “profession equipment”. Due to new changes to professions, when you have profession equipment equipped it will apply a visual buff to your character. You can see this buff if your mouse over it at the top right of your screen where the buffs show up. Right-clicking the buff for profession gear will remove it and that will get your shield to show up again.
If you open your Alchemy profession window, at the top right of that window you will see your profession equipment. Unequipping that item will make it so the buff doesn’t get applied to your character if you always want the shield to show up. You may chose to only equip the profession equipment when you are actively crafting, in order to get the bonus.
Lastly, Profession Equipment can be configured by speaking to Mahra Treebender, the Profession Equipment Specialist, who can be found in Valdrakken, Ohn’ahran Plains and the Waking Shores. Speak to her to configure various aspects of your profession equipment and how it’s displayed.

Haven’t tried talking w/ the NPC yet, but just unequipping prof gear to my bags immediately fixed the issues w/ no reload
if you’re wearing profession equipment, you will have a buff which can be clicked off.
