This really sucks since i have done it a few times and it awards 250 rep bonus which i could really use and to have it be messed up again really sucks. Blizzard always has SO many problems with WOW makes you wonder and realize the game is coming to an end soon thank god.

Not really. All these vocal minorities crying about things that I’ve never encountered or had problems with like they claim. That’s what I wonder about.

By the way? Patches dropped on Tuesday, and there was one earlier tonight. Sounds a lot like you run addons, since you’re the only person throwing a tantrum about this tonight.

I did that quest on multiple characters yesterday and had no issue with any of them.
The only problem I’ve seen is snarky players. Same lame remarks from all of them. Your last sentence was said about almost every expansion and patch since Classic. 14 years and players haven’t been able to come up with better comments.
The game isn’t ending. I’m not sure what makes you think that it is. But why wait until the game ends? If you don’t like the game any more, why play?

I did the quest with no issues, the only reason I can think of if a quest will not complete is if you happen to be in a raid group, while working on a non-raid quest, but it does warn you when you join a raid group.
Try this exactly into the game chat box:
/ script LeaveParty ()
and a UI reset is always recommended before putting in a bug report.
