This quests needs to go or some serious adjustment.
Less quantity, greater spawns, and not allowing others to steal your work/progress.

Agreed. Fully.
This needs to be changed to either:
- The person who uses the item on the snail is the only one who is eligible to loot the item
AND/or
- Allow group credit.
The fact that people can follow you around and takeyour shell, causing you to get no credit, is just awful. Then, when you form a group in hopes of negativing this negative, toxic behavior that the quest creates, only the individual in your group can loot it and only they get credit.

Agree with everything above. Just some hopefully useful advice while we have to deal with this milkbrain quest: there are some spawns in the south east that are relatively uncontested (around 63, 67, or right under the label for “Nal Ks’Kol” on the map). Also, it seems like when they turn friendly the lootable shell item usually pops off to the snail’s front left, so you can try to position to be ready to loot it quick.

Painful quest and really inducing to being because you can steal the labor of others
never felt so angry doing a quest before it was pure hell
