Shatterspear trolls in “Dancing troll village” (Shatterspear village) are no longer PVP flagged. They were PVP flagged until this most recent patch (Alterac Valley one).
I have sifted through many horribly edited videos trying to find original classic footage. They were flagged in original classic.
This is the most clear of the videos. (2006)
PVP shows in tooltip (2008)

PVP still shows in tooltip (2008)

This may not seem like a big deal, but it matters a lot to me. In vanilla, the forced PVP flag was part of the inherent risk of farming in this spot, and kept it under control. If there is no forced PVP flag, it is the best farm spot in the game for Alliance and completely unavailable or unassailable by Horde. This has a small but noticeable impact on the Rune cloth market.
Blizzard, please fix. They were flagged properly until this Tuesday, dunno what changed.

Please revert the trolls to their correct flag state.
actually i just noticed this too is this a bug? ? or intended stealth change?
I hope it wasn’t an intended change, there is no justification for changing something like this from its orginal vanilla state on a whim. Maybe some Blizzard dev got killed after farming here.
Nope. I wonder if anyone reads these forum posts. Seems like a pretty simple correction.

Doesn’t matter how easy it is. It still has to work its way to the top of a development work queue which is probably prioritized for new development (Classic next phase, 8.3 and 9.0).
It’s just the pvp state of a single mob located nowhere else in the world, which was correct a few days ago. Nice quote but this one is actually simple.
Runecloth stock dropping like a rock.
Yeah, why was this changed? I liked killing the obvious gnome mage bot that tried to farm this 24/7
Any word from blizzard if this is a bug?
