Buddy we don’t need a glyph to use shattering throw. Did you even read what I wrote? I use it as prot all the time, your avoidance doesn’t drop to zero, I don’t think you’ve ever played a tank class before.
That happens whenever you are mid cast of a spell. Happened to prot paladins trying to hard cast holy wrath, heals, or shield throw during TBC (some of those no longer have cast times) Tons of fun reports from people in TBC wondering why their shear capped prot paladin got hit by shear when they dropped their avoidance to 0% for a bit.
I had assumed shattering throw also worked on that mechanic.
Me too. Now I’m gonna be bugged until I can get home to check. Not to mention dumping the rage and switching to battle stance.
yeah u can’t do anything while you are channelling shattering throw (otherwise everyone would just shield block to use it), the only avoidance you can have is the enemy misses you while you are channeling, everything else is disabled. Easy way to test it is to walk up to a mob, shield block then start casting shatter, you won’t block
Taken from EJ’s:
%DR = Armor / (Armor + 15232.5)
%DA = 1 - %DR = 1 - Armor / (Armor + 15232.5)
%DA = 15232.5 / (15232.5 + Armor)
%DA = 15232.5 / (15232.5 + (DebuffedArmor - ArPEffectivenessCapArP%))
%DA = 15232.5 / ((15232.5 + DebuffedArmor) - ArPEffectivenessCapArP%)
no debuffs:
DebuffedArmor = 10643
ArPEffectivenessCap = 8625.17
%DA = 15232.5 / (25875.5 - 8625.17*ArP%)
5 sunder armor:
DebuffedArmor = 10643*(1-0.2) = 8514.4
ArPEffectivenessCap = 7915.63
%DA = 15232.5 / (23746.9 - 7915.63*ArP%)
5 sunder armor, faerie fire:
DebuffedArmor = 10643*(1-0.2)(1-0.05) = 8088.68
ArPEffectivenessCap = 7773.73
%DA = 15232.5 / (23321.18 - 7773.73ArP%)
5 sunder armor, faerie fire, shattering throw:
DebuffedArmor = 10643*(1-0.2)(1-0.05)(1-0.2) = 6470.94
ArPEffectivenessCap = 7234.48 → 6470.94
**In game there is a rule that limits the cap so that it does not exceed the debuffed armor level.
%DA = 15232.5 / (21703.44 - 6470.94*ArP%)
There’s a debuff cap and debuffs are calculated separately to Arp … apparently.
So yeah, it stacks.
great change
Tell me you don’t play classic kek…
And that’s part of the problem for warriors, while other classes are benefitting from pre-pots and heroism and the initial procs of all their items… warriors are using shattering throw and sundering for zero damage wasting a good percentage of their buffs on their first 5-6 GCD’s… They’re a few hundred thousand damage behind before they do their first…
looks like a GM playing a warrior and he wanted this change, so he made the glyph “got the glyph made for him” and it doesn’t matter if you like it or not, he got what he wanted to get
It does, I weave it in between boss swings as much as possible. I’m not worried about getting hit by a boss once either way for a dps increase.
Devs who have played certain classes have been known to buff their own class and nerf other classes that game them trouble. Such as how Ghostcrawler played a shaman. Paladins gave him lots of trouble. So he always nerfed paladins and buffed shamans just so he could be able to play the game better.
The paladin story as old as time.
See: Kalgan vs Kevin Jordan.
You say were one of the worst classes, but u realize we, along with feral druids, end up being the best towards then end? I been a warrior main sense classic and we deserve the spot were in, we can’t be the BEST in every phase in every expansion, it makes 0 sense it expect it to be busted all the way through. As a solo sundering warrior this glpyh is game changing, i legit dont have to go to battle stance, stacking sunders to pop shattering right after, now i can stack in b stance and go right into my rotation instead of swapping stances and having to get more rage. Just be happy your not a ret paladin whos going to be garbage all the way through.
