First off, here is the pastebin extension for my DxDiag report (I ran it right after the issue in question happened):
0YMHG8cu
Basically, when I plug my laptop back in after the laptop’s battery is low, my power supply from time to time disconnects, giving me the “plugged in, not charging” text when I mouse over the battery power icon on my taskbar. At the same time, this tends to cause a huge FPS drop in my game (sometimes as low as 5 fps). When I reconnect the AC after unplugging it, the problem fixes itself almost immediately .
Was wondering if someone could take a look at the report and see exactly what causes the connected (not charging) message and why it causes a fps drop in-game?
Thank you!
My hunch is that the power supply isn’t disconnecting - it just can’t provide enough power to the system to game and charge at the same time. Then, there may be a power saving setting that drops the performance when it is plugged in, but not charging and below a certain % of battery charge.
Your BIOS is also multiple version behind, and that could impact the issue. The latest is 1.26 and you’re on 1.19. (https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/7603?b=1)
You’re also having a number of crashes related to the Acer User experience software, so you may want to up[date or disable it.
Lastly, your intel graphics drivers are a year old - you may want to see if you can update them from intel.

Wow! I had no idea so many things were behind; I just assumed they kept current via Windows Update. Also I had no idea that the Bios even needed to be updated.
Thank you!
Windows update is almost never the way to get driver updates. Always check the manufacturer.
