Sharp drop of people in Uldum/Vale already

I’m not sure if it’s the same for US servers but for OCE where the population is almost entirely Alliance I’ve seen a very noticeable drop in players doing the Uldum/Vale dailies/rares. I’ve been clearing them on four separate characters and It’s gone from having to fight over quest mobs and rares to it basically being a ghost town now.

It’s going to be a really long patch guys…

Once it dawned on me that i was doing dailies for currency A to buy currency B to get Currency C so that i could last longer in HVs each time i bought currency B i decided to work on Pathfinder 2.

Blizzard are really masterful when it comes to releasing good ideas with hamfisted execution

Azerite
Great idea but RNG lottery to get the good ones.
Corruption
Great idea but making acquisition so rare nobody gets to actual play around which items to equip is terrible
Essences
Great idea but character bound means alts are an awful idea
Visions
Great idea but getting punished (regardless if they made it less awful) for failing promotes playing it safe.

Probably waiting for tomorrow’s reset.

I want to do more H Visions, but I don’t have the drive to do dailies everyday.

No idea why we are back doing dailies, why’d we take a step back from world quests?

  • Neck is almost 82 so don’t need AP from the rares.
  • Already exalted with Rajani for the augment rune.
  • Already revered with Uldum Accord for BotD.
  • Not a collector of mounts or pets.
  • Cant start hoarding mementos for Gouged Eye yet, since full tech tree is required for that.

No reason to spend a lot of time in Uldum/Vale right now. Once the tech tree is completed and it’s time to farm mementos, I’ll go back to those zones with a purpose to collect visions for HV keys.

If I do them at night then there’s not that many people out. Though my group did ours last night around 11 EST and there were enough people in the zone to get our CTA done. When I go during prime time it’s still pretty full and sometimes it takes a while to get certain objectives done because of the amount of people doing them.

I don’t know what game you guys are playing; Uldum and Vale are so full of people that quest items can be a pain to find.

It’s because a lot of people are completely capped on their currencies so there is legitimately no reason other than rep gains to do them.

Good. Makes dailies easier.

I mean… it sounds like you’ve already spend a huge amount of time there, lol.

I finished AOTC with a rank 7 cloak, and honestly I just have no desire to do any more cloak ranks. It’s so boring, and grinding dailies just to wipe because some idiots don’t know how to do the visions is just incredibly frustrating.

It’s like, hey will give you this really small amount of currency so you can buy these tokens to have a short at upgrading this item that only marginally improves your ability to not get a dumb affix.

Hate 8.3

Overall sure? But daily, maybe 30min in each zone. Spend more time than that hunting zin’anthid any given night.

Well the dailies aren’t fun. Not many people are going to stick around to do things that are not enjoyable. I work at work, and I have a second “job” being a healer in-game. I’m not spending what precious little questing time I have doing something as miserable as those dailies. They can kiss my fluffy tail.

There’s nothing I want badly enough to make me do them.

  • Capped on currencies
  • Revered+
  • Reginald all grown up and mount-able

People are probably slowing down on those areas about now.

And more importantly, can we keep taking steps back from World Quests, then take a running charge at World Quests and kick World Quests off a cliff?

I can gear up my alliance DK and do them with you Nas, I’m a funny person, I swear.

You forgot to add:

Make the damn game so confusing that returning players spend days wandering Boralis trying to get topside in a damn bridge.

Wiping because people don’t know the content is common these days…and not many people out there saying: “Hold up a sec, and let me show you how this works.” The problem lies mainly on people who are always in a hurry and never want to share their precious information. Enjoy the wipes until you can learn to TEACH.

By the last part of an expansion built on multiple levels of grinding repeatable content I suspect that many players have sort of reached the end of their patience with the game. I look at my characters and just can’t face another day of doing the same things over and over again.

Fun it isn’t, at least not for me. For those who enjoy repetitive fairly mindless activities, I suppose it’s fine. And yes, before anyone suggests I quit if I’m unhappy with the game - I’ve given it real thought. My gold is paying for my sub atm. We’ll see how that goes…
