I was swimming around the coast of Azeroth and started thinking, why can’t hunters tame sharks? I don’t care if they are only usable underwater, if they float in bubbles like the aquatic non-combat pets, if they fly, if they ridiculously drag themselves around on their fins, or even if they are propelled by miniature tornadoes or rockets. Give me sharks, please. In all seriousness, I’ve always thought it would be cool if more aquatic beasts were tameable, and if there was some way to make it work. Even if they are a sub-category of pets that can only be used in water that would still be cool, if admittedly limiting. That said, as I noted many aquatic pet battle pets are useable on land. They just show up in a water bubble when summoned on land.
But if you are able to summon a shark and control him while you are in the water then you will not be a hunter anymore, you will be Aquaman.
Or Katy Perry if you name the shark Left.
Only if Engineers can tame a mechanical flying Frickin’ Laser Beam equipped Shark.
I guess what you want is a land shark.
It would be really cool if the shark would “swim” in the air.
Engineers could make lazers for Hunter sharks! I’m down with anything as long as I can tame sharks. I’m fine with the land shark as well, even though that photo is strangely terrifying. I remember how disappointed I was when I encountered my first shark on my hunter years ago and found that, even though it was a beast, it was still untamable.
I think I’m going to have night-mares now. And they’ll look exactly like that monster!
I’d support it. There’s already lots of pet families that you never see people use, an ‘aquatic’ family could fill a nice niche. There’s also that item in Naz that lets water mounts fly, there could be something like that for sharks.
Plus sharks are really cute and deserve more attention!

I’ve always wanted to tame Threshers tbh. It’s understandable why you can’t tho.
But seeing them waddle around on land like seals would be both really funny and incredibly horrifying.
