Please make tagging sharable Blizzard. You said leveling would be smoother in this game version. Shared tagging would eliminate bottle necks and stop people from griefing others.
Can’t say I disagree
Mobs are near instant respawn - make a group and socialize like they intended?
They won’t because they want the pace to stay slower. If we could all tag the same mobs then we would fly through.
I got stuck on a named mob for a quest and after missing him twice (I was in a group) I made a quick /tar name /cast moonfire macro and got him no problem.
It won’t be launch day every day. That’s extremely reactionary.
That damn snow leopard aint. That quest took a hot minute to do.
This is a fair request especially on launch
Lmao what? I literally don’t get this mentality. People just gather in group, get the quest done, then move on. This whole delusion that people are somehow going to develop and cultivate meaningful relationships with people just wanting to get a quest done is actually insane to me these days.
Definitely some very real frustrations. At the same time the spawn rates are very high and right before shutdown got stuck because of a bad series of respawns.
I’m sorry but shared tagging really needs to be a thing. The only reason not to have it is for people to grief others
Groups are not required to socialize. This isn’t 1999
He didn’t say become life partners with them, he said socialize. Which is what grouping up to complete a common quest is, socialization.
hmm, im not sure of all the things to weigh up with this decission, but i can say that everyone standing around in a circle waiting for a monster to spawn and it dying instantly, and seeing if you got the credit… is not a great experience. I think if you hit it enough you should get credit, not just one person at a time.
We have every pixel on the screen filled. Grouping is still fighting for the tag.
Shared tagging doesn’t break anything.
Yeah we can socialize without being in a group. we have /s for that reason. But whatever. C-O-M-M-U-N-T-Y!!
Just as I’m saying this people just downright avoid getting into groups anyways. Been trying to form a group and everyone is as anti social as ever lmao
100% shared tagging for everything, not just mobs. Quest items you gather off the ground, mining nodes, herbs, skinning for mobs, etc. I don’t want to have hostile feelings while playing Forever. The QoL changes Retail has should not be kept out because the purists cry Classic.
The random grouping up might never be able to be won back for any MMO. People are more aware of stranger danger than ever before and it’s a societal change you can’t reverse. I feel much better being able to help someone I run across without crossing their personal social boundaries.
Having competition with other players for resources (mob tags, quest objectives, gathering nodes) is a good thing. It allows for more emergent behaviour and keeps the world feeling more alive to me. People can be kind and they can share nodes, or they can be selfish and compete, or on PvP you might want to fight them to control the resource.
Being able to run into a populated area and multidot everything and get rewarded for a tiny tag while not actually fighting is not a good experience to have in that game.
That being said, Blizzard should layer/shard aggressively on release because it does get pretty bad when areas are super populated on the first day/zone.
I had no problem doing to first few quests in Tirisfal. I just went to the spawn locations other people didn’t bother with, like up against the mountain for the bats and wolves, inside the buildings for zombies, etc.
Just group up, its a non issue.
People posting this are just a little bit frustrated for something they will forget once the whole server are not in the same area as they.
I think the best point made on this topic is that we have no idea what the final state of layering will look like. so we dont know we need this at all yet .
