My proudest ganking moment was back in WOTLK, back when you could not fly around Azeorth and not cross-realm zone, so you only played witn people on your server with no phasing.
A group of Alliance were going city to city killing the Horde racial leaders, and Thunderbluff was next.
Me and a buddy both logged onto our elemental shamans, camped both elevators to Thunderbluff, and as soon as the Alliance got up to the city, boom, /thunderstorm.
Alliance flew everywhere and all fell to their death. It was the most cartoonish thing Iād ever seen in WoW and we were laughing like hell.

that time in classic wow i ganked that youtuber who was talking trash about me for Months and the funnest part of it all he too was alliance was in tarren mill and the horde mind controlled him so i just sit there for a good 20 seconds looking at him then i clobbered him and it felt great and he was so mad im normally not that guy but hey he deserved it lol
I used to camp the wetlands and gank/camp night elves running to SW for funzies on a pvp server in vanilla. Would always be there from 6-8 and I would do it as a methods of mixing stuff up while hunting for the whelpling
Edit : what made me happy was all the in game mail that I would get for āruining their day.ā
That time when BFA had just came out and I had war mode on in Drustvar and saw the chest dropping down. I ran to it and found an alliance demon hunter trying to open it. We fought and I was definitely gonna lose so I jumped down into a bunch of humanoid mobs. I ran around gathered a bunch of them up, DH followed still chasing me. Hit ice block and watched like 10 mobs kill him.
I got away, hit invis and got the chest FOR THE HORDE!
Classic era. I played a Gnome Rogue. I was level 40ish at the time and hanging out in Gadgetzahn. I played on Sargeras, a PvP server. Klitch was a Troll Rogue. He was a notorious ganker, well-known on the Alliance side. Klitch was ganking Alliance then running away from the Gadgetzahn guards. He was pretty successful at it. I studied his method and path from a distance. I sneaked over to his escape path, lied down stealth, and waited.
It took a little time, but here he cameā¦guards in tow. I stun locked him until his death, which came mostly from the guards. I was super happy. Yes, he got me back a few times, but it was well worth it.
Iād fly up to a tree next to goldshire while flagged for pvp. Iād then summon a tonk toy, which would also be flagged, and pilot it into the middle of goldshire.
Then Iād wait for those juicy lowbie bites of āoh itās red I should right click itā theyād then get flagged followed by a face hammer from yours truely.
Since there was nothing to do, I would would sit at crossroads with my guildie, and gradually more people joined us, standing guard near Sergra Darkthorn because alliance knew that she takes forever to respawn.
The best times would be when someone, after getting ganked would fly up. I would fly much higher than them, wait to see if they stayed still and thenā¦ divebombing fire mage with slowfall. Fire blasts, living bomb, a passing dragonās breath and then finishing them off with pyroblast, all for them to go splat shortly after.
It lead to a war between 6-7 of us against an entire guild that would often appear there which, for whatever reason, liked to bring along even low levels with their raid. One thing lead to another and I got invited to their ventrilo (jeebus Iām old) and their guild master told me that they did that because, and I quote, āThe Horde has no right to levelā.
They want war? Weāll give them war
The final confrontation had my group of 7 people chasing them off Kalimdor, seeing then Brill getting hit, so we chased them all the way to the Eastern Kingdoms and kept hunting them until they eventually disbanded the raid group at Gilneas.
After that, things were more peaceful at Crossroads.
