commodore 64.
best gaming pc machine EVER.
the 1200 baud modem is kind of a pain tho but dial up with AOL is so stable!
Ohh I just finished a new build last week:
5900x, Asus Dark Hero, EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra, in a Lian Li O11-XL. I’d post the PC Part Picker list but it’ll take forever to get it to let me post the url… uhhh

Edit: ok cool the (dot) worked
WTF did u steal a 3090???
There are NONE to be found in the U.S., I know I have looked!
I was ‘lucky’ to order a RTX 2060 and even that is backordered until late February!
Hilariously enough I got it on the Walmart website. I literally just went to walmart (dot) com and typed in 3090 and there were 7 available hahaha
This is my PC. Using it on 2560x1440 Level 10.
- AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
- Arctic Cooling Liquid Freezer II 360
- Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master
- G.Skill TridentZ Neo 32GB DDR4-3200 CL14 (3600C16) kit
- Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC
- Creative Sound BlasterX AE-5
- WD Black SN850 1TB
- Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 2TB X2
- WD Black 4TB 7200rpm
- Seagate Barracuda 3TB
- Corsair AX850 Titanium
- Fractal Design Define S2 Vision RGB
I was gonna get the Aorus Master but held out for the Dark Hero because the Gigabyte cold boot CMOS battery issue spooked me. Any issues so far?
Thanks

No issue on F32 BIOS. I would still suggest getting Dark Hero due to fanless chipset.
7700+GTX1080, getting a bit old now but i plan to keep using it until it dies or it can’t run new AAA games anymore, whichever comes first.
Yeah I have the Dark Hero now and it’s great except for this weird issue with internal USB 2.0 hubs. For some reason my Corsair Commander Pro (which has 2 USB 2.0 ports) disconnects and reconnects over and over when you actually use its USB ports so I disconnected my PSU from it. Recent BIOS versions didn’t fix it so I’ll hold off or eventually get a 3.0 to 2.0 adapter or something.
my build was an over the top build… like 6 years ago, but it still handles all i throw at it.

Yeah, one of the Gigabyte BIOS fixes is this.
" 1. Improve connection stability for USB 2.0 ports of USB hub"
Oh nice, yeah I don’t know what it is but modern AMD chipsets aren’t working well with it. At least, the ASUS beta BIOS didn’t do anything for me. I might just sacrifice my USB 3.0 Gen 2 port on the mobo and get an adapter which should fix it so that I don’t have to think about it anymore.
And I may as well participate in this post as well, here’s the build I did a couple months ago:

Mehhhhh, SLI was rarely worth the trouble. Either games didn’t support it well, or it caused issues, or the gains were just okay. I remember running SLI 780 TI Classifieds and 980 TIs and I would always have to disable it in the Nvidia control panel to get certain games to not nuke themselves.
No disconnects from my Corsair Lightning Node Pro since the BIOS update. I can confirm its stable.
Just stick to your current board. There will be another BIOS update for Nvidia resize BAR.
